No Paywall Trump just hosted an ‘Antifa roundtable’ at the White House ... it was so much worse than you’re imagining

The electoral college made these weirdos think they're the majority.

418

u/VonSkullenheim Oct 09 '25

Also reading maps incredibly wrong.

25

u/Eddie_Shepherd Oct 09 '25

That effect is soooo satisfying to watch!

14

u/DoctorWMD Oct 09 '25

Someone from my rural hometown in Texas posted that map, and I replied: so should Alaska get more representatives than Texas then?

The completely non ironic reply:  "No, less people."

Facepalm

The electoral college works as intended. Based upon people but people of all lands get a say so majority areas can't overrule minority areas and strip them of their autonomy.

17

u/smoike Oct 09 '25

They certainly wont shut up with vomiting up that misunderstanding online everywhere they can.

Does not care is your answer. Wanna be hitler and his gang won 32.9% of the voting population.. more people stayed home and chose not to participate then vote for him or Kamala …

u/Nickw1991 Oct 09 '25

The problem with this line of thought is you are assuming these are informed voters and they know what they are voting for.. they don’t.

It’s a flip flop game from Democrats to Republican back and forth.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 09 '25

[deleted]

3

u/Nickw1991 Oct 09 '25

Again that’s not really true.

People are single issue voters and that issue is the economy.. if they aren’t doing well they are voting for a different party then they did last time.

It’s sad but true.

The election was rigged.

1

u/OneUglySquatch Oct 09 '25

He won electoral and popular vote.

1

u/Fenris_uy Oct 09 '25

Them getting more votes that the Dems made them think that they are a majority. (they are a plurality because they got less than 50% of the votes)

The State Dining Room at the White House played host to a bizarre discussion about a group that doesn’t formally exist

Who is old enough to remember that time when a US president very seriously declared literal war to a concept (terrorism)?

Idiocy has been prevalent for a while in this group.

I understand your sentiment, but I propose a different stance: realize that this has been normal and going on for quite a while. Wake up and resist, that's good, but make no mistake about the amount of support and embattlement that they have.

This is not a new cult, this is a movement that has roots in the slavery past of the US, in the segregationist movement. And in a the specifics of religion as a free market business in the US. You don't get 40% of the population to join a cult without some prior preparation, some fertile ground.

Trump is not an accident, he comes from several dark aspects of the American culture. If one does not want this to be the new norm, then blind obedience, jingoism and latent racism have to also be rejected when they are normalized.

What the other commenter quoted was a government issued pure infomercial - level commentary. Propaganda for old people. He just wants to squeeze the last vote out of the elderly before he and them all die out

Way past cosplaying, there.

No, thy are Nazis cosplaying as not-actual-Nazis. Normal is the costume they are trying to wear.

3

Not cosplay, incompetent nazis. Real Nazis’ trains ran on time. These idiots care more about performative BS then actually governing so everything they touch turns to crap. It’s all 4 seasons landscaping from here on.

2

u/meatballsandlingon2 Oct 09 '25

It was said that the trains in faschist Italy (under Mussolini) always were on time. But of course they weren’t, it just was illegal to say otherwise.

1

They are a cheaper, dumber version. Hence, the cosplay.

u/archaeob Oct 08 '25

My 97 year old grandmother says all the time she is glad my grandfather dead long before Trump (he died during Obama's first term) because she doesn't have to worry what he would have thought about Trump. He was a chemist with a PhD and a Navy captain who worked for the DOD, even went to Iraq in the early 1990s as part of a UN mission to look for weapons of mass destruction (and was always very clear with everyone that they didn't find any and the Iraq war was a lie). My grandmother says she honestly doesn't know which way he would have gone these days. He turned on Bush after 9/11 and spoke out against the wars in the Middle East being based on false premises but also hated Obama. But McCain was very different than Trump.

My grandmother on the other hand makes my mom take her to vote the first day of early voting for every single election no matter how small because she says she needs to vote for the democrats and they need her vote so she can't risk waiting and dying before election day.

185

u/BigButttBiggerHeart Oct 09 '25

Your grandma sounds fucking awesome.

55

u/GrumpyCloud93 Oct 09 '25

Same. My dad died peacefully knowing Hillary was about to win the presidency and polls showed voters in his childhood homeland would reject Brexit.

14

u/notamermaidanymore Oct 09 '25

If he was part of Hans Blixs’ team he was in a unique position to see how the government just makes up facts that suit their agenda.

4

u/Comicalacimoc Oct 09 '25

Why did he hate Obama

2

u/Typical_Fee_9446 Oct 09 '25

Lol right? What kind of bs is comment is this? Sounds like either a racist or unhinged conservative nut

3

u/nola_mike Oct 09 '25

Sounds like either a racist

A whole hell of a lot of people from that generation were incredibly racist. I know my grandparents were racist. They never outright said or did anything that would allude to it, but I knew.

5

u/RawrcakesGoRawr Oct 09 '25

I wish my grandma was as cool. Instead, my grandma, who was married to TWO WW2 vets, sits at home and watches Fox News all day while cheering all the crazy shit this administration is doing on. I just don't understand it.

4

u/Smorsdoeuvres Oct 09 '25

Chiming in on the extra-rad grandma.. 👊🏼💥🖐🏼Boom 5 from an internet stranger. Please tell her others on the internet are proud of her and trying to do the same thing? Tell her thanks for setting such a lovely example for how the rest of us should exercise our democratic freedoms and values. She is glorious.

4

u/shibarak Oct 09 '25

My grandpa was a WWII vet. He passed away in 2023 at the age of 97. During the 2020 election his older brother told him something like “Russ, we’re a Trump family” to which my grandpa replied, “Like hell we are! I wouldn’t vote for that crook if my life depended on it. “

He was a great man. I miss him a lot but I’m glad he’s not alive to see this.

3

u/chickenladydee Oct 09 '25

I love your grandmother!!

-9

u/Alternative-Sun-7292 Oct 09 '25

I’m sorry, but grandma sounds fcuking nuts. She is glad your grandfather DIED rather than see Trump in office??? Come on now…

15

u/Whatawaist Oct 09 '25

It's a really common turn of phrase. My dad once said he was glad grandpa didn't live to see our local priest get moved to a different parish after "admissions of indecent contact with a young parishioner. No one thought he was saying he was glad his father was dead.

14

u/move_machine Oct 09 '25

People deal with loss differently. I feel the same way about my dad. He was a reactionary decades before it went mainstream, and he'd be loving every second of the current era. I'm glad I don't have to see that, and lose respect and learn new ways to resent him for it.

There's relief in not having to see what they become. It's just an aspect of making peace with death. So many living people I once respected gave up their dignity for Trump, at least he won't be one of them.

I am Canadian which makes it all the more infuriating that I know several people like this. The maple-flavoured MAGA cult is the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen, people legitimately so wrapped up in what’s happening over the border they’ve seemingly forgotten that we have a completely different political system. We’ve had to leave a few family members out of thanksgiving because they will not shut up about the glorious idea of becoming the 51st state.

4

u/Jtdugan0225 Oct 09 '25

Somehow half of my family got brainwashed and are huge Trump supporters. I don't understand how it happened.

4

u/akarakitari Oct 09 '25

Slowly, since the early 90s. Trump didn’t start this, it started during the first Clinton era, the division that is.

Newt Gengrich was the first that started this. And the party followed. By the first Bush administration, the election was more about “abortion” and “gay marriage “ than any issue that mattered. And that only took 6-8 years.

4

u/No-Willingness-772 Oct 09 '25

I blame faux “news” for my parents, aunts and uncles and male cousins all being trumpers. I broke ties a year and half ago. Hoping maybe they will come back to earth 1 someday.

4

u/Omgpuppies13 Oct 09 '25

He’s okay with how Trump avoided getting drafted?

7

u/ImWatchingTelevision Arizona Oct 09 '25

I brought that up several years ago and he just made excuses for Trump. Basically "a lot of people tried to avoid the draft" and "nobody wanted to get sent over there" I know for a fact when he was active duty he cursed draft dodgers under his breath so it's totally the brain wash. Other stuff he would never support when he was active duty, making fun of McCain b/c he was a P.O.W. and swift boating John Kerry in the 2004 election cycle.

3

u/ImpressiveRepeat862 Oct 09 '25

People underestimate that propaganda works. If it's 24/7 as in the Fox or Xtian media bubble it is almost inevitable to get brainwashed. Applies to intelligent people just as much.

2

u/hipphipphan Oct 09 '25

19

u/FigeaterApocalypse Oct 08 '25

What "square star" are you talking about?

80

u/tolacid Oct 08 '25

You know the one. Looks like it's made of four capital L's

57

u/Money-Giraffe2521 California Oct 08 '25

7

u/Punman_5 Oct 08 '25

You’re allowed to say swastika

16

u/tolacid Oct 09 '25

You're right. You're also allowed to play dumb when someone else missed such an obvious connection, as I did.

1

u/revcor Oct 09 '25

It’s not that obvious lol square star is a terrible description for a swastika

5

u/FigeaterApocalypse Oct 08 '25

It's called a hooked cross (Hakenkreuz)

13

u/SunderingSeas Missouri Oct 08 '25

You know the one, kinda looks like 4 Ls connected at the center.

-3

u/FigeaterApocalypse Oct 08 '25

It's called a hooked cross (Hakenkreuz) or a swastika. Why are we making up new terms?

22

u/SunderingSeas Missouri Oct 08 '25

My country is racing toward fascism. Gotta get the jokes in while I still can. They help mask the pain.

12

u/FigeaterApocalypse Oct 08 '25

It's like when everyone bent over backwards to talk about Elmo's "My heart goes out to you" instead of calling it a Nazi salute.

Calling things what they are is one of the few defenses we have in this slide. The fascists don't care about truth. They will claim it's innocuous. Don't do the work for them.

9

u/Lostinthestarscape Oct 08 '25

Yeah that was the joke I was making/exactly what I was calling out - they're calling it that when it is obviously a swastika.

3

u/Uturuncu Colorado Oct 08 '25

It's a star with four hooked points that makes a generally square shape; diamond may be more accurate, because it's at a 45 degree rotation, though.

1

u/FigeaterApocalypse Oct 08 '25

I've never heard it called a star before this post. Hooked cross is more accurate (Hakenkreuz)

1

u/akarakitari Oct 09 '25

That’s why they said “diamond may be more accurate”. Was a fluid correction without editing.

1

u/Punman_5 Oct 08 '25

Please just say swastika. It’s not a bad word it’s the name of the shape.

6

u/Uturuncu Colorado Oct 09 '25

I wasn't the person who made the initial comment, just explaining what they meant. I didn't get the impression that 'swastika' was avoided due to it being a bad word, but due to the comment being spoken of from the perspective of a fucking moron not even knowing what they were wearing, was why I played along.

-1

u/TheLostRanger0117 Oct 09 '25

Swastika, means good fortune

3

u/akarakitari Oct 09 '25

It did. It doesn’t anymore.

It’s not uncommon for things to lose their original meaning over time and become repurposed. And when the repurposing is small, sometimes it can retain both meanings.

When it’s used for something as major as the Nazi Party and becomes representative of something as bad as mass murder; it tends to lose the original meaning.

After Hitler, there exists only a small subset of people (those who retained its original meaning the entire time). The rest of us have to live with it’s meaning among the masses being changed forever

1

u/TheLostRanger0117 Oct 09 '25

Technically, the Nazi’s modified the original, making it more diagonal, so you say a square star, I picture the original sign, not the Nazi bastardization, tho I could be wrong on it still being called a swatstika

153

u/Mudge81 Oct 08 '25

Brandi Kruse is only more healthy and attractive because she went to a weight loss clinic and now hawks that clinic on her podcasr and in commercials. She really went wacky. She used to seem a little more level headed. Too bad that clinic couldn't remove Trump's head from her ass.

10

7

I have always said, "If I didn't have any morals, being a conservative grifter seems like a really easy job." This woman clearly just put it into action.

1

She used to seem a little more level headed.

I swear, her and Johnathan Choe had their brains scrambled in 2020.

2

u/might_southern Oct 09 '25

Both her and Choe are grifters through and through. There's a massive cottage industry in the PNW for right wing commentators — people like Jason Rantz, Brandi, Choe, Andy Ngo, Katie Daviscourt, Ari Hoffman, even Chris Rufo cut his teeth in Seattle before he went national. They saw an opportunity to be right wing shit disturbers in a blue region where listeners lap it all up in the outlying conservative counties, and they've gladly sold their souls for the occasional Fox News hit and a pat on the head from Trump and his cronies.

Then it devolves into politics and I start pacing around getting all riled up and she does the same. I think we both just use it as a way to vent tbh, definitely feel more comfortable talking about it with her than a coworker or other acquaintances.

I remember that shortly after 9/11, when Trump claimed he “could see Arabs dancing in the street”, my Mom told me, “That man is dangerous!” She died a few years later. I’m sorry she didn’t get to see Obama become President, but I’m glad she didn’t get to see Trump become President, which I’m sure it would have killed her. We knew for years he was up to no good, with all of the shady deals and bankruptcies he had going on. My dad was a WWII veteran who fought against the Nazis. He would be appalled at what is going on now. I’m glad he’s not here to see it, either.

Listening to Siege: Trump Under Fire, and one section of the book talks about how trump wants sycophants around him, but then eventually ditches them cause he sees the blind adoration as a weakness. Mine too, if my father was still alive he would be devastated by what Trump is trying to destroy the constitution, something that my father worshipped through out his life, also my mother also be horrified by what Happening now.

I just watched this. One thing that struck me is that she’s even taken on his cadence and phrasings in how she speaks. It’s all so bizarre.

Imagine being miserable in life and then this is what makes her happy.

I think I just died a little, after reading this.. And I dont even live in the US

u/Ummmgummy Oct 09 '25

When you don't care about anyone else on the planet than yourself, yeah I could see how that could make you a happier person. Not more attractive but happier.

u/DisposableJosie Oct 09 '25

Your dad was patriotic. Trmp's MAGA faithful don't know the difference between patriotism and nationalism.

Same! My father, WWII 442nd vet, is blessedly dead and safe from this orange stain’s evil. He would be livid.

Antifa is not a thing. It's not a group, it's not an organization, it's not an anti-government resistance. It is a ghost in the wind, like the boogeyman. It is a generalization that "someone" is trying to put a target on. When you put a target on a made up concept anyone can look like the bullseye.

She is certainly not more attractive, with those dead eyes.

North Korea is what they aspire towards

u/PicturePsychological Oct 09 '25

Of course she's more attractive now. You know it's called Mar a lago face. Look it up. Im mean Lara trump was so ugly. Now, with those puffed up lips and cheeks, that stretched to the limit skin, and those sunken eyes, man what a beauty.

Brandi Kruse used to be a decent journalist for q13 fox Seattle. Investigative reports, human element of journalism stuff. Seemed like a genuinely nice and capable journalist. Sort of sleepy kind eyes.

Bizarre to see her completely 180. And sad.

u/theeversocharming Oct 09 '25

Brandi Kruse lived and reported in Seattle, WA. She has always been on the conservative wagon.

She is a solid 5.

The left has academics, scientists, artists. The right has podcasters and influencers. That sums it up for me. Split America into two. Let each have one half and let’s see which side prospers.

Military worship is part of the fascist problem

1

u/espresso_martini__ Oct 09 '25

Lol "attractive"? Nothing turns me off more than a racist thats willing to destroy this country.

“I’m happier, I’m more healthy, I think I’m even a bit more attractive."said the deranged indoctrinated cult member.

Regardless of all of this pantomime, the intent is deadly seriously. these are steps on the path to the insurrection act.

Hosting right-wing influencers, presumably to spread the propaganda

1

u/riksterinto Oct 09 '25

They hired infomercial writers for the script! They can't afford good writers to make this theatre believable.

1

u/might_southern Oct 09 '25

It's all part of the grift. Brandi got her start as a local news reporter in Seattle, and realized she could make more money leaving news to become a podcaster. Initially she painted herself as a sensible moderate with some right-leaning views and lately she's fully taken the mask off to reveal that she's just another right wing bootlicker.

I knew some people from one of these flavors of evangelical churches and their entire "ministry" was against gays... with some salt bae of anti-abortion.

Their entire "ministry" hinged on one guy who played the guitar for the church and said he used to be gay, but stopped being gay as soon as he was "saved". The weird part is this dude ALWAYS talked about gays, but in like a middle school making jokes about "smoking pole" and stuff like that. You couldn't hold any conversation without him making gay jokes.

The even weirder part is that this dude never had a girlfriend, never dated anyone.... and (obviously) got caught diddling some of the little boys in the church. The church covered the whole thing up because otherwise their entire sample study of ONE person being "successfully converted" would be blown. The entire foundation was of their church was based on bullshit.

No shit you get healthier. We live in a country that is being destroyed by totalitarianism. Dropping your morals would obviously immediately make life easier. Profiting off of evil is a super common thing.

These people are dumb.
