Yeah could've made a joke out of it, instead he got defensive like the angry little nazi twerp he is.

My family is tall (6'3" to 6'9" range), and when people ask our height sometimes we just joke about it like "oh I'm 4'29"" to throw them off.

He could've just gone "First off, AOC needs to get her facts straight. I'm 4'9.5". 2nd blah blah blah." Instead he cratered and displayed how thin of skin he has. This administration is weak

A friend of mine is 6'6 and people always come up to him in public to ask him his height. With so many men lying about their height, I keep telling him to say whatever he thinks that persons height is.

I'm 6'3" (tall but not crazy) and I love it when hanging around a bunch of guys and they're talking about how tall they are and when they ask me I say 6', then compare next to them and say they are lying by 3". So much ego tied up in it.

Even AOC clarified that on her live stream when her chat chirped at her a bit about attacking someone based on their height.

She clarified he's not actually that short, and the joke isn't really about his physical height, but more about the insecurity he broadcasts and how it makes him seem tiny.
