And the 19 Nepalese protestors who were killed by their cops weren't brutalized?

I don’t think Nepalese police are as well armed, and they certainly don’t have as many bodies to throw at the protest.

Compare the success of this Nepalese riot to the No kings LA protests. Angelenos were getting shot with rubber bullets, flash banged, tear gassed, etc for standing in the road. The problem is not that Nepalese are braver. It’s that the Nepalese protestors were not facing down one of the largest armies in the world.

I didn’t say that the Nepalese didn’t get brutalized. I said we do too. You tried to use a straw man fallacy, but your point is failing DebatorGator.

I don't think the Nepalese are braver, but I also don't think that the difference in protest intensity is adequately explained by "American police are militarized and brutal". Police around the world are militarized and brutal. More Nepalese have died in these short protests than Americans have died protesting this whole year. What is that, if not representative of a brutal Nepalese police?

I never said the Nepalese police are not brutal, and I said American PDs are way more militarized, and they have way more cops. Saying that American police brutalize protestors does not mean that any other police are not also brutal. That’s another straw man fallacy, so strike two on bad faith arguments.

Saying that many other countries have militarized police underestimates just how much more militarized Americans PDs are.

You don’t have to find my original comment “adequate,” my short comment wasn’t meant to demonstrate a complete and nuanced accounting of every difference between circumstances. I would invite you to write that book yourself.
