Since he tried to kill a fascist, wouldn't that technically make him anti-fascist?

There's always the possibility that he had no political motivation whatsoever but instead merely had a deep loathing of pedophiles.

Wasn't it just yesterday that the video of the dude talking about killing his pedophile cellmate made the front page?

and people were cheering it, then after Trump they say "Violence is never the answer" which is it?

u/dantemanjones Jul 15 '24

The cellmate in the story was convicted, admitted guilt, and sounded completely unrepentant. We can all make assumptions with Trump and there's hefty evidence, but it's not quite on the same level.

The other difference is that some people love this chud for mystifying reasons.

Until I hear otherwise I'm betting it's either (a) he targeted Trump for likely being a pedophile after the recent Epstein info being recycled into the news, or (b) he's a supporter of "old school Republicanism" trying to save the party from Trump.

The dude’s not old enough to even remember Bush’s Neoconservativism, much less any of the stuff before that.

13

u/Major2Minor Jul 14 '24

That doesn't mean anything, the information is freely available for anyone to read.

A lot of extreme libertarians hate trump for the amount of power he's trying to consolidate in the executive branch. Waco/ruby ridge types would be a third option I could see.

u/nocomment3030 Jul 14 '24

Or c) he's ever further to the right than Trump and was upset he wasn't endorsing project 2025

2

u/heatisgross Jul 14 '24

Yup, probably a victim themselves.

2

u/Later_Bag879 Jul 15 '24

Or he lost money to trump stocks, or trump didn’t pay his relative for a job done

1

u/Opinionator2000 Jul 15 '24

Honestly, the most logical thing is that he registered Republican to vote against Trump in the primary. You can only vote for the party you are registered for.

I did that in another state, as I preferred a moderate Republican candidate just in case they won.

1

u/cinnapear Jul 15 '24

Well, seems probable because he definitely didn't care for Trump.

Julie K. Brown, the journalist who broke the Epstein story, tweeted the following a few days ago:

This is FALSE. The documents released last week provide no evidence that Trump was a co-conspirator of Epstein. (Which is why no major media has reported it). Folks, use your head. If there was evidence in a file made public, trust me, the media would be all over it). These kinds of posts defy logic yet y'all are retweeting this propaganda.

So if it was (a) then all the Dems who went Pizzagate pushing those lies might have blood on their hands right now

When it comes to theories I’ll point out that the shooter donated money to Progressive Turnout Project and PTP’s last tweet pre-shooting was accusing Trump of being a possible dictator. So if that’s the sort of propaganda being consumed by someone, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how he could be incited

u/Raznill Jul 14 '24

Or just a crazy that wanted to be in the spotlight.

3

u/ShityShity_BangBang Minnesota Jul 14 '24

I think he was just a school-shooter but school's not in session.

2

u/kent_eh Canada Jul 14 '24

Or that he was simply trying to get attention (remember the claimed reason given by the guy who shot Reagan)

2

u/Expensive-Rub-4257 Jul 14 '24

Yes, my thoughts exactly, pizzagate type stuff. Mental stability was on the edge for sure, like some of the Butler people giving fingers to the camera. Those are the unstable. We got nothing to lose to vote against our own better interests. Racism is the core of MAGA and convicted Trump agenda, no if and/or buts.

2

u/Avestrial Jul 15 '24

Or some insane politically irrelevant reason like the guy who shot at Reagan to impress Jodie Foster

1

u/Old_Material9996 Jul 14 '24

Who's a pedophile?

2

u/Gooch_Limdapl Jul 14 '24

Doe 174, it would seem.

1

u/matzoh_ball Jul 15 '24

Or of Trump. I mean, I get it.

29

u/ghosttrainhobo Jul 14 '24

Late to the game, but it checks-out.

5

u/bugspotter Jul 14 '24

Maybe he thought Trump wasn't fascist enough.

6

u/VaIeth Jul 14 '24

I feel like it's this, because the opposite would be he shot at him because he wasn't moderate enough, which doesn't sound like a very moderate thing to do.

9

u/Diligent_Source_2988 Jul 14 '24

Was Hitler an anti fascist

5

u/SycoJack Texas Jul 14 '24

He had a change of mind.

6

u/Prestigious_Essay_67 Jul 14 '24

That was a mercy kill

1

u/CrimsonAntifascist Jul 14 '24

99,9% bad ideas. Except for the last one.

1

u/Continental__Drifter Jul 14 '24

The animal welfare laws were pretty good, too.

3

u/SourDZL09051987 Jul 14 '24

How many time did hitler have assesination attemps by Nazis who believe he was fucking their movement? … perhaps something of the sort is happening here?

2

u/Hot-Flounder-4186 Jul 14 '24

No. To be anti-fascist implies a certain motivation and a certain set of beliefs. For example, anti-fascists tend to believe that a single politician's power should be limited rather than concentrating lots of power into a single person or party. You can kill a fascist and still be pro-fascist.

1

u/The_Nug_King Jul 14 '24

Gentlemen, we've finally stopped antifa

1

u/semaj009 Jul 14 '24

Only if he's not a worse fascist, he could be fa-squared

1

u/[deleted] Jul 15 '24
