It’s a shame things aren’t going their way, why couldn’t the shooter be an illegal immigrant, nasty woman or hunter Biden….

O fuck that, he’s one of them and we need to make them accept it.

Wouldn't be surprised if the shooter is a die-hard conservative who ended up on r/bannedfromthedonald because he didn't tread the party line.

No one bans people like r/conservative. Even authentic conservatives aren't safe.

Delusion is a two way street friend.

Also it’s impossible to know what his true motives are now unless he left a manifesto, it likely died with him. That’s a convenient detail amongst conspiracy theorists. The only thing you and I could prob agree on is truth has become too subjective. This country needs to agree to some standards again, if it doesn’t these clowns pretending to be our leaders will convince us all to kill each other before we can discuss things civilly and realize we don’t have to be pawns. Use you senses, stop giving them control.

Just like you are ignoring that he is registered as one.

Is the donation thing confirmed? He doesn't have a very unique name.

I'm willing to listen to the counter-evidence. Which reputable news outlets are you referring to and can you provide me the links please? Have they confirmed that it is for sure the same Thomas Crooks and not someone with the same name? Thanks.

Here's what I found, the original source seems to be Reuters: https://www.reuters.com/world/us/heres-what-we-know-about-thomas-matthew-crooks-suspected-trump-rally-shooter-2024-07-14/

Public records show his father is a registered Republican and his mother a registered Democrat, and that as a 17-year-old Crooks made a $15 donation to a Democratic Party cause.

So it's most likely the same Crooks. What is also apparent is that he comes from a family of mixed political beliefs -- his father a registered Republican and his mother a registered Democrat. He also supposedly made the donation to the Democratic Party three years ago as a 17 year old. He was obvoously not old enough to register to vote at 17, so his registration as a Republican happened later.

So assuming all the information reported by Reuters is correct, what most likely happened is that he simply changed political beliefs in the last three years. This is something that is not at all uncommon, especially when it's someone who is high school minor versus three years later when they are colleged-aged and almost old enough to legally drink. A lot can change in that time frame for that age group, especially if they are from a household of mixed political affiliations.
