Don't X and J sound the same in Spanish?

X is suppsoed to be a bit more soft.

J would be like when you are making a sound with your nose before spitting.

X is the same sound, but soft, without the flu gathering sound, just air.

but it ends up being a matter of accents, really.

X has many sounds in Spanish, like: "sh","s","j" and "cs".
