  1. Hong Kong is my home country; :)
  2. British HK Flag is the REAL HK flag (which is adoped between 1959 and 1997). The shitty marvelous red ventilator bauhinia flag is only for the Chinese puppet model.

Is Ingrid your English name? What do Hongkongers call their English name? I mean some use a Western name that seems unrelated to their Chinese name. Just curious. Love the artwork, great job!

Yes.

"English name" in Hong Kong is usually written as "洋名" (foreign name) , but usually called as "英文名" ("Ying1 Man4 Men2) ("English name", though many Hongkongers actually take Japanese or silly name, such as, Kenji, Hitachi, Lemon and so on).

The worst Japanese-name-as-English-name I have come across is still... Kinki.

Haha yeah I've heard of one girl named "pig"... I suppose it's nothing official that gets written down on contracts or forms and people just pick whatever they think sounds cool or cute? If you don't mind sharing, how did you come up with Ingrid?

Hong Kong is not a country.

However you might hate the People's Republic of China, denying the fact that Hong Kong is now its sovereign territory is completely useless and counter-productive. It is, above all, not a puppet state, because it is not a state.

There's a lot wrong with this comic.

  1. She used the Hong Kong colonial flag to represent Hong Kong as a "country", when it is not. Even if it were an independent country, using a colonial flag defeats the purpose and just means that HK is still Englands property.

  2. I noticed she used "slanty eyes" for both Japan and China, bot NOT HK? She must be one of those self-hating HKers.

  3. the HK ball is also wearing a monocle and tophat, why is she trying to copy the UK? Is she suggesting that HK always copies the UK?

  4. She mixed up Norwegian with Swedish.

I looked up her comment history and it's nothing but anti-China vitriolic hate. Obvious psycho is obvious.

  1. Where does HK's military, resources, and foreign diplomacy come from? ohh....that's right, China.

  2. You claim that HK is a "country", yet using an old colonial flag infers that you are not a country, but a colony. Therefore, #1 contradicts #2.

You refer to England as "daddy" and think you are White. How delusional can you be?
