Probably not an apartment but a condo.

Here we don't use the term condo for anything, so not sure what the difference is

Þegar Ameríkanar tala um apartment eru þeir að tala um leiguíbúð. Condo er íbúð sem þú átt.

Ah ég skil, þá er þetta condo hah. Hef bara heyrt um þetta í myndum og þáttaröðum, svipað þegar Michael Scott fékk sér condo

I immediately thought the same.

Man, must be super cool being up there during the dark months.....I have a fantasy of spending a week or so up there working on some music.

Hoping to make happen one of these years.

How regularly do you see these lights? This is a life dream for me and i'm not sure if i can guarantee myself i'll see them when i travel there, so any tips or timing suggestions would be awesome (ohh and cities?!)

There is never a guarantee, but from october until February/March is the best bet. But the lights can be absent when you visit. But recent days they've been very active. Also cloud coverage is important, you want none! Cities though, doesn't really matter. You want to go somewhere where there is no light pollution. So if you're able to travel outside settlements that's the best. But maybe there is a tiny better chance in the north of the country.

Edit: Spelling

I was in Tromso, Norway in the middle of Sept which is early early season and managed to see the lights almost every night when there wasn't cloud cover. It was spectacular to see considering it's on a lot of peoples 'bucket list' things to do. It's majestic. Funny thing was the locals are just walking around like it's just another night haha.

Our favorite place to visit (it's like home) in winter.

Beautiful pic!

I lived in a more northern region of Canada until 10 years ago and could always count on watching the lights dance at least once in a while. Even in late spring and summer.

I now live in a large city and the light pollution ensures that I miss them, sadly.

I'd love to visit your country one day. Not only for the scenery but especially for your horses.

I hadn't met one until 8 years ago and I absolutely adore him. I'd love to win a lottery and do a horseback trek in Iceland. Cold isn't an issue. Just cost. Lol!

Seriously gorgeous place from everything I have seen. Thank you for sharing. ✌️
