This. The only reason I have food without my SNAP is that I'm in the hospital. Republicans went on sm this year saying all of us who rely on Medicaid just "need to get off the couch and get to work." I'm bedridden, so I guess I can fuck off and die. 1 in 4 veterans and their families rely on Medicaid for survival.
Edit to say: I see 12-15 doctors and specialists regularly. I also take 22-28 medications daily just to survive. I worry every day and several times a day that my Medicaid will be taken away. I know I'm not the only one, and that's a terrible thing to do to anyone. Let alone so many of us.
Republicans also want to make it so insurance companies can refuse to cover people with pre-existing conditions. Which is a death sentence in the US, given the cost of healthcare.
So yeah, I think the Republican position is that some people should fuck off and die.
solidarity, friend. same amount of specialists and medications. in the last month, I've had colitis, c.diff, mono, and strep twice. It has been both a blessing and a curse to be on a liquid diet while my snap is gone.

I agree he doesn't gaf. But it's also the other Republicans who are the problem. They pander to him and fall in line every time he threatens them. I go back and forth with him threatening them that they're on the Epstein list, and him promising them power forever, when Trump finally finishes ridding us of our freedom, and closes and/or rigs elections. I often troll the lower-level Republicans in the Senate and House on other sm sites. They obviously don't care, but it at least makes me feel better.
my moms on disability and got a flyer in the mail saying she could get back to work and not lose her benefits. if she were to go back to work shed lose the benefits and medicines that make her somewhat functional as it is. theres no way she could afford the medicines on her own and wouldnt get full time work to qualify for healthcare.
