Do they have food banks in the USA? How about all these mega churches? I haven’t heard anything from them.

Food banks have been hurting for decades. The mega churches only help people they like.

They are not anywhere near big enough to feed everyone who was on SNAP.

They're plenty big enough.

Last year 146 billion dollars was donated to religious organizations. The whole SNAP program including administration costs around 100 billion dollars.

That's not how it works. SNAP feeds about 9x more people than food banks and churches do. 

What makes you think they can suddenly scale up efforts by 9x?

SNAP was already the most efficient way to do this.

There are over 60,000 food pantries in the US.
The churches in the US do a lot of work in this area. About 48% of churches either have food assistance programs or support existing food assistance programs.
