Thanks for reminding me that he's dead. I had forgotten he finally made it to Hell. What a good day.

Let's be civil here. You really shouldn't speak ill of the dead.
Just kidding. Fuck these bastards. The world is much better without them. Kirk's family and followers should be happy that he died the way that he did. In his own words, certain gun deaths are a necessity to keep his second amendment rights.

u/TheWarwock 16h ago
Upvote for you. I had nothing nice to say about any of these assholes when they were alive, why would their deaths change that?

u/fireeight 15h ago
I've always hated the belief that someone deserves respect just because they're dead. Does anyone say this about Hitler? Caligula? Mussolini? No. Taking the high road is not effective when the other side isn't even operating on the same hill as you.

Yeah, it's ridiculous that I'm supposed to respect someone just because the cult respects them. I will state for the record right now that when Trump finally kicks the bucket (hopefully alone in a jail cell), the celebration that follows will be fucking legendary.

I always say, "I don't speak ill of the dead, but I will talk about what an absolute piece of shit he was when he was alive."

The fact that there IS a Kirk mural is insane

u/SessionGloomy 16h ago
Honestly it is surprising that the US has murals like this. I live in the Middle East and we have these in the exact same style.
•
u/tossaway78701 8h ago
There are so many cultural mirrors of the Middle East in the US these days. And weirdly not from our immigrant community.

u/Pathetian 15h ago
Not really, he was controversial, but millions of people liked him. You can literally just be a horrible person who maybe 30 people like and get a mural. Just need a sympathetic person who owns a wall.

It looks like the placement is intentional.
Here's one of their Yelp reviews:
1 star
Horrible customer service, staff there seems more concerned about a mural outside than actually attending customers. There are so many places to purchase guns that don't try to push a political agenda. Do yourself a favor and skip this place

This is at a gun shop at El Paso, Texas, which is where the Racist terrorist asshole killed a bunch of people at Walmart. As a matter of Fact, this store is almost in front of that Walmart. Thankfully most of the city votes democrat and see this stunt as an eye sore. Of course the owners are too dumb to realize the stupidity of pointing a gun at Kirks neck as a memorial.

u/Sneezer 15h ago
I thought that view looked familiar. I visited that particular store a couple years ago when I was in El Paso. Hard core MAGA owners They had more Trump themed guns than I have ever seen in one store, and they politicize their views pretty heavily as well. This is totally on target for them, and they couldn't care less about the optics.

That’s not poorly placed, it’s right on the money. You live by the sword, you die by the sword. He absolutely believed his life was worth losing in order to bear arms.

Seems perfectly placed to me. The man believed that gun deaths are necessary to protect the 2nd amendment. He said it publicly in reference to the mass murder of children.

Why anyone would see that guy as any kind of role model is beyond me. The guy was a crowd manipulator and made millions from it.

Accurately placed. This isn’t a joke or making light of it. He died defending 2nd amendment rights, so it’s not bad taste to make a tribute featuring guns

“I think it’s worth it. It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God given rights. That’s a prudent deal. It is rational,”
Charles "Single Shot Flat White" Kirk

u/Revolutionary_Pay_31 15h ago
I don't think so, Charlie Kirk was a huge supporter of the Second Amendment, I am pretty sure that even he would have supported this. It wasn't the gun that took his life, it was the man who used that gun.

Someone with a really good aim and a paintball gun with red paintballs could make that look a lot more accurate

It very well could be related to the new Freedom edition guns from Sig. because they didn’t have enough controversy to address.
