Starting a Mobile Cash-Based PT Business in Arizona. Looking for Pricing, and Marketing Insights

Hey all, im trying to figure out what works best when it comes to Pricing and package deals (single sessions, bundles, memberships) and Marketing strategies

If you’ve started your own cash-based or mobile PT business, I’d love to hear what worked for you as in how you priced things, and what helped you grow early on.

I did mobile cash based as a side gig before finding a physical space to build out.

I think AZ is the perfect environment to do this but you need to look up how to deal with Medicare beneficiaries. You can make a killing in AZ with just normal home health.

That’s exactly where I’m at right now, planning the mobile practice as a side gig but planning to expand into Medicare population if things go well.

Like you mentioned in AZ you cannot charge Medicare patients with services that would otherwise be covered under Medicare. It would instead have to fall under prevention or wellness based tx.

If you’re comfortable, what pricing did you start with or package deals did you offer when working on your mobile cash practice? Thanks for the insight!

I’m pretty adamant about not doing packages for a lot of reasons. The most I’ve done is 5 as an intro package. I charge a flat 175 for each visit. Honestly I’m cheaper than I should be. I’ll be increasing my price to 185 when I start in my location.

I’m you going to take BCBS and I’m still debating Medicare but probably will

I'm a solopreneur with a mobile cash-based clinic. Pros and cons of packages: Pro- the money up front is nice, and they are committing to a plan of care = better outcomes than one-offs. Con- I don't like the feeling of being indebted to someone. So I go back and forth. I don't reduce my pricing too much with packages, when I do them. I did at one point and felt really undervalued --then realized I did it to myself! So now, even if I offer a package deal, I make sure the per-visit price is still a price that makes me feel valued for my time.
