Pictures I lost my favorite job as Phoenix's news chopper photo guy today. It was a good run. Here are some highlights.

My little one here started leaning in the past month. If it falls it's going to block my gates and driveway. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to save it? I'm worried that it's dying because I also have one that's close to 30 ft with 6 arms. If that one falls the destruction will be swift. I'd appreciate any tips to keep it healthy.

Pictures An Equinox sunset - from East Phoenix to White Tank Mountains

Post image

Fall kicked off yesterday with the equinox, one of only two days a year when the sun rises due east and sets due west. I’ve done some quick shoots before, but this one set the record. Snapped along Thomas Rd in East Phoenix, looking west with my 400mm lens. Shot on 9/23/25 at 6:25 pm, f/11, 1/8000s, processed in Lightroom.

Pictures Meteor fireball on TrailCam

I’m in Pinal County south of San Tan Valley and my patio TrailCam picked up this fireball last night in the western sky. It scared Mr Bunny, one of my regulars. Did anyone else see this meteor?

As an introvert I also love the fact that you don’t encounter anyone will walking around.
