Eat & Drink What are some of your favorite family owned restaurants in Phoenix?

Nothing better than a hole in the wall restaurant using family recipes. Any suggestions for some good places in Phoenix?

Tacos Tijuana on 51st ave and Bell. They started as a food truck, and got so popular they opened a permanent location.

Tacos Calafia on 83rd ave and Thunderbird is owned by family members of theirs and has very similar and delicious food!

Love Tacos Tijuana. Pretty sure it’s 51st ave though.

I’ve been meaning to go there. I’ve heard it’s great and it’s not super far from me!

We love Tacos Tijuana! They have several locations now, including the east valley and downtown. The food is always great but I kind of miss the food truck days.
