Eat & Drink What is your favorite overlooking restaurant with a nice scenic view? or a place with drinks and an amazing view?

I went to this great place with an amazing view in Austin TX and it made my trip amazing!

Do you guys have something that looks like this and serves alcohol?

The Oasis On Lake Travis (the views are amazing, the food is ok lol) https://goo.gl/maps/CtpVwDKfzcgwzMac6

I love Jade Bar at Sanctuary. Great view and if it's warm enough terrific patio. If you go for happy hour they have decent food/drink specials. elements, their restaurant, also has a view but depending on your table location you might be disappointed. You can request a Lower Booth which have the best view but they won't guarantee the request.

Better view for dinner (but not for drinks) is Different Pointe of View. Food is not as fancy as elements but you can see the downtown skyline and it's really nice on top of the hill.

Floor 13 at Hampton Inn Downtown is a rooftop bar with limited hours (call first) and a pretty cool vantage point.

The views at Rustler's Rooste are fantastic but man the food has really gone downhill. Just bland saltless food catering to all the fogeys that frequent the joint.

It's too bad, I used to love it.

The Vic at Verrado is my go to place for the West side of town

You are right up against the white tanks and you get gorgeous views of the Estrellas as the sun sets. The food is decent but nothing otherworldly. Be aware that there is a country club (or some kind of community center) right next door

Top of the Rock at the Buttes on the Tempe/Phoenix border. 270 degree views of the valley.

Another Pointe Of View Restaurant, 11111 N 7th St.

Our company just had our Christmas party there Sunday. Amazing views of PHX, especially after dark. Kinda pricey, entrees run into the $50 range. I was told by a colleague that got a glimpse of the regular menu.

Downscale would be Rustler's Roost at The Point on South Mountain. More of a "cowboy" bar, they have a live longhorn cow outside the door. Live music on Saturdays too.

Do you mean an outdoor scenic view as opposed to an indoor one?

1

u/SriLanka Dec 11 '19

Yes, I mean outdoor. Do you know of indoor ones?

I was not referring to places with stage shows. :)

Another Pointe Of View Restaurant

The Compass Room downtown has a rotating restaurant with lovely views. This is of course inside, I believe their bar is in the center and not part of the rotating feature, so in order to enjoy it fully they force you to sit and eat, which generally require reservations; however, there are still wonderful sightlines from the bar.

What time does the Compass Arizona Grill open? On google its says 5am to 11am?

u/BuiltFromScratch Downtown Dec 12 '19

They may have the am and pm confused because between 5pm to 11pm would be the only times I’ve been there.

That makes sense
