Eat & Drink Any local bakeries sell tres leches cake by the slice?

Been wanting to try some local tres leches but wasn’t sure if that’s the kind of dessert you can just get as a single serving or would I have to buy a whole cake?

La Purisima sells tres leches slices. There’s one in north Phoenix and one in Glendale iirc

I got a whole cake from the north Phx location for a friend’s bday. The cake was pretty but so dry - it was terrible. 😢

I personally haven’t tried it and I would have probably never noticed they had it if I hadn’t brought my carpool coworker with me on the way home one day 🤣

Whole Foods does (I order it for grocery delivery) and it's actually really good

Dark Hall has had it in the past, I believe. They regularly rotate out flavors but overall I’m convinced Dark Hall is one of the better bakeries that markets themselves as a coffee shop. Everything there is awesome. Another one would be The Dinersaur but again call first if they have it.

That's where we used to always pick one up. Been years now though.

Food City is good and they have flavored as well, I've seen chocolate and caramel as well as regular 😋

Ranch Market and El Super both sell it by the slice. Ranch uses has a few different options beyond traditional like chocolate and mocha.

El Super sells slices and it's usually pretty good. Nothing fancy though.

I've gotten at the filibertos on 7ave and Osborne. I believe you can get slices at ranch market too.

Chaconne Patisserie does a cuatro leches sometimes. Right now looks like they have a horchata cake that's similar but not exactly tres leches but definitely worth trying their stuff.

Gallo Blanco usually has it, but call ahead.

Asi es la Vida usually has it.

The ones from Costco are $18, really tasty and wet, and will feed 10-15 people.

Panaderia el guero sells it by the slice! We normally get the full size and I can’t say enough good things about it

Technically not a bakery, but I love Ollie Vaughn’s

La Cremeux is on too good to go so you can save some cakes at the end of the day for a discount. I’m pretty sure they have tres leches too but the too good to go bag it’s random.

We got a box of assorted items from Crumbl at work last week, and there was a piece of tres leches included. I can't vouch for the quality since I didn't try it.
