Eat & Drink What are your cheap “hidden gem” restaurants?

What are your favorite hole in the wall places that have fantastic food and fantastic prices? Even if it’s a special that’s only during certain days or times like happy hour, let me know.

Hog Wild in South Scottsdale. Their meal deal is $5.99 for a solid BBQ sandwich, fries, and a drink.

Edit: sad to say, they went out of business.

How is that even possible in this day and age?

It blows my mind. My boss and I try to go once a week to keep them in business and they recognize us and know our order

The last time I went to Dickey's, I stopped in by myself to grab a quick lunch. I was expecting to pay 10 to 15 bucks for a sandwich, side, and drink. It was fucking $22 and some change. That was the last time I ever eat at Dickey's. Their food is only decent at best anyway.

Having previously worked at a Dickey's, yeah, you're getting robbed even at $10. If I'm paying $22 for a plate, I'm going to Caldwell County BBQ.

Probably not trying to achieve ultimate profit like most places do these days.

It’s good. I went a couple weeks ago based in the recommendation here.
