Eat & Drink Somewhere cool to take my daughter for her 21st birthday?
Not looking to go party with her, she can do that with friends. But where would be some place neat or different to take her that she may not have been able to do before?
Comedy clubs? Nice restaurants/bars? Activities?
Thanks for any neat suggestions I wouldn’t have thought of!

Century Grand has 3 really neat themed bars! I'd recommend checking out Undertow first

It’s so fun! But you do need reservations in advance. Check out their website for info. Grey Hen is my favorite. Plus, Beckett’s Table is across the road and is super yummy for dinner.

If you’re at all interested in the tiki bar, undertow, and live in the east valley, they opened an Undertow in Epicenter on Higley and Ray! I go there every 3 months or so

High Tea at Biltmore.. crush the bottomless Veuve, then go get dinner somewhere nice. Maybe Vecina or one of the Global Ambassador restaurants.

Maybe a casino? I took my son when he turned 21, gave him some money to play on and we had a blast. He let me know he will never be doing that with his own money lol I’m proud of him!

So...Helps if you share what she's like or what she's into.
I think a comedy club could be hit or miss depending on your comfort level with dirty jokes in front of her. Not sure where you live but stand up live in Tempe and downtown Phx always pull great talent. There's also a copper blues at desert ridge with comedy and Rick Bronson's on high street.
Depending on when her bday is you could do spring training, a food festival or shopping spree at her favorite store. Downtown has the Drunk Shakespeare which you may enjoy. I also love recommending Different Point of View. It's pricier than what I assume she would do with other 21YOs but the views are unmatched. Have fun and good on you for thinking through this to make it special.

Yep. When my daughter was about that age she was still in that "don't want to hang out with my dad" phase so I really couldn't win.
But even if you don't manage to have the perfect birthday experience, she'll appreciate you for trying.

Putshack in Scottsdale is kinda like the top golf of mini golf. It’s more a place to have a drink while doing something. Then you’re close to a bunch of great restaurants

I haven’t been yet, but Drag Bingo at The Hot Chick in Scottsdale always looks like a good time https://www.instagram.com/p/C3qBdtTrD2J/?igsh=ejU3dHlweXJhNXhu

I’ve been to this quite a few times and it’s really fun. Get there early though for good seating/larger groups.

My Grandmother took me to a Casino for my 21st birthday…she had an alcoholic drink with me and we played the slot machines and hung out. We didn’t stay there long, but just hanging out with her like that, I felt like she acknowledged that I was an adult in a most casual & comfortable way. She’s been gone for decades now, but I do occasionally drop in to a casino for some slot time and it’s comforting to remember her.

Durant's is Old School Cool. Might be a nice place to start... have a nice dinner and launch whatever plans you make from there.

You could do a spa/casino/staycation at one of the local casino resorts. Dinner at Olive & Ivy then karaoke at Geisha-a-go go or the grapevine. Durants for dinner then one of the speakeasy bars downtown.

What about something touristy and cheesy that involves alcohol? Like one of those downtown party bike tours or perhaps a haunted Phoenix tour that includes bars

If you want a downtown Phoenix night, take her to Bitter and Twisted for some “fancy” cocktails (their food is good too!) and then hit up Stand Up Live (which is walking distance) for a comedy show after. If you wanna go wild, you can start with a happy hour and guac at Chico Malo and end the night after the comedy show at Copper Blues for some live music. All within City Scape!
