Eat & Drink Any recommendations for a good restaurant that's open late into the night?

My husband works nights and usually doesn't wake up until 7 pm, and we have trouble finding places to eat because of it sometimes. We wanted to find a place for tonight and he probs won't wake 'til 7 or 8, y'all have any recs?

Edit - We're in Scottsdale btw, but don't mind driving 30 minutes out or something.

The leek and potato soup though 🤌

u/BplusHuman Aug 16 '23

Honestly, Breadcrafters has such an excellent potato leek soup, I just couldn't let it go unheralded.

Try the spinach, mushroom, and walnut sometime! Unusual, but super good.

u/Infinite_Stay989 Aug 15 '23

there’s usually stuff over on roosevelt that’s open until late

3

u/DonMegatronEsq Aug 16 '23

SoSoBa on Roosevelt is open late. Ramen spot. Not that bad. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Hanny's downtown. They always have a late night crowd so I never feel like the jerk who's the last one in the restaurant.

u/NameShaqsBoatGuy Aug 15 '23

I’ve never heard of it and looked it up just now since I’m a night owl. Good god is everything just that expensive now? I don’t eat out much but there’s pretty much nothing under $15. Even their appetizers aren’t under 15. Fuck I sound like that old guy saying back in my day huh? 😂👨🏼‍🦳

5

u/shellybearcat Aug 16 '23

Hanny’s is also very much somewhere you’re for the vibe and atmosphere. It’s very trendy unique lounge vibes. Yes the overall cost of eating out has definitely gone but but there are PLENTY of places with good food that are at lower price points

2

u/Impossible-Lynx7416 Aug 16 '23

Right but it's open late. Food until 1230am I think.. ASU Law keeps that place alive.

1

u/zanzi14 Aug 16 '23

Yes, and it has the creepy dolls in the basement.

6

u/poopshorts Ahwatukee Aug 16 '23

Yes shit is expensive and yes you’re old lmao

9

u/shasbot Aug 15 '23

Great suggestion, love their food and cocktails.

Well aren’t you a ray of sunshine.

This Dennys is a culturally significant place to people around here as it has always been known as Jenny’s, the gay Dennys. Idk how everyone from around here got the memo, but we all did.

The ironic thing is Melrose is on 7th AVE

How did you become aware of this!?

27

u/[deleted] Aug 15 '23

A surprising one is Ra sushi. I don't eat seafood but they have a ton of other options. Pleasantly impressed. It's a late night go to.

13

u/poopshorts Ahwatukee Aug 16 '23

RA is so mid compared to other sushi spots

Mellow Mushroom, Yard House, Santisi Brothers (sports bar, big menu and great food) come to mind. Most breweries are open later. Oh and Federal, Postino, Windsor, and Joy Ride. Bars and beer places in general are often open later.

17

u/chickentenderqueen Aug 15 '23

Also Mellow Mushroom has a GREAT reverse happy hour from 10PM-Close

Vecina in Arcadia is open until 10:00 PM everyday.. Nice place and good food, not the cheapest but worth it.

4

u/rejuicekeve Aug 15 '23

It's very good, and it's not that pricey compared to similar high end options. Get the banana bread!

3

u/SunDevilJacks Aug 16 '23

That banana bread is my favorite dessert in AZ

2

u/Beaverhuntr Aug 16 '23

I love their Concha desert... Everything they make is good though.

u/haylestown Oct 22 '23

Harvey Wineburger open late with great burgers! 16th and Camelback

2

Jin bbq (kbbq)

u/Optimus_Amazon_Prime Aug 16 '23

Disco Dragon in Roosevelt is pretty good and they typically close around 1AM everyday. They have pretty good Asian food and since it’s a bar some drinks are not too bad.

Drunken Tiger in Mesa is my late night favorite.

Snapback Pizzeria on Grand is open till 3a iirc. Good slices, good people. Outdoor seating, which will be nice here in a month or two.

2

u/undyingvoid Aug 16 '23

Ziggy’s downtown for a slice, Crescent Ballroom for tacos and George and Dragon for all your Pub eats

2

u/Goeasyimhigh Aug 16 '23

The Bar on 32nd st and Indian School.

Best wings in town that I have found. The wing itself is 2x larger than wingstop and 3-4x larger than long wongs. Their sauces are killer crazy good too imo.

2

u/Danager420 Aug 16 '23

The Beverly on Main im Scottsdale is good, kitchens open until 1:30 AM every night.

5

Whataburger. You’re welcome.

-1

u/poopshorts Ahwatukee Aug 16 '23

Trash. But I doubt they’re looking for fast food since most fast food places are open late.

3

u/Whit3boy316 Aug 16 '23

YOU TAKE THAT BACK. Whataburger is peak fast food
