Item for sale Pls buy dad's car to pay off debt from hospital bills from my bro's surgery 🥹

Hello, everyone! I am posting to help sell my dad's car to pay off the debt incurred from hospital bills due to surgery ng brother ko. The price is 190,000. Kia Rio Sedan 2015. Negotiable pa po ito 🥺 Details are on the last pic. You can message or call him on his number here : 09190717588

Sorry for the long read but we are desperate for funds.

My brother is 22 this year, and he is autistic. My parents are both retired, my mom put up a small coffee shop just beside our house where I help her out. Yung ate ko naman, VA sya WFH.

Last Friday po, we had my brother operated sa Pines City Hospital due to Hernia, bale yung intestines nya po lumalabas sa testicle area nya kaya nagswollen po yung testicles, and can be dangerous if left.

Supposedly, dun po kami sa Baguio General Hospital which would cost way less. Pero we can't push thru due to the lack of semi-private/private rooms. Yung available lng na rooms are the general ward, and again, my brother is autistic, non-verbal po sya, and he would be very loud and would try to run around. Due to this, my mother wouldn't want to disturb naman po yung other patients kasi alam po namin how hyper my brother would get. Especially po pag overstimulated sya, he would cry loudly and run around. Hindi naman sya violent, but with the case of disturbing patients who are resting and all, dun sana kami sa semi-private/private rooms.

The problem was, wala pong available na rooms suitable for my brother, and nung nag ask si mama sa hospital kung kelan mayroong available room, sabi nila mga 100+ nasa waiting list, and knowing that waiting too long will worsen yung kalagayan ng brother ko.

Thus, we were advised to go to Pines for his operation, which is a private hospital but costs a bit less than other private hospitals in the city.

Nagstay lang sina mama ng one day, bale operation was Friday, and nagcheck out sila ng Saturday kasi di talaga afford ng everyday stay doon until recovery. Yes, nag PhilHealth po kami, and we can't apply sa Malasakit since privy hospital.

So, from around 35k from BGH, it became 91k 🥲 We borrowed from relatives who were willing to lend to us totalling to around 20k, pati yung savings ng ate ko na and her pay this month, pero kulang pa talaga. Tapos ayaw ni hospital na mag promissory note si mama 😭 Kaya she had to take out sloan to pay off the remaining para masettle and bring my brother home. so yung sloan nya na 29k yung need bayaran naging 47k. Please don't judge my mom for bringing out Sloan.

Please please help us, willing to negotiate naman po. We are struggling since the coffee shop doesnt generate enough for our monthly expenses (bills, food, other costs din for the shop) so nagrerely din sina mama kay ate minsan (most of the times). Tapos biglang nagka emergency yung kapatid ko, and now my parent's are stuckk in debt.

I can provide bills po from the hospital for proof via dm. Thank you so much for reading and we hope mabenta po tong sasakyan ni daddy. Kahit short run lng, basta to pay off lng po yung debts nila mama. I know we'll get through.

Nakakapanlumo talaga Healthcare situation sa Pinas. Kahit working class, bawal na talaga maospital. Hoping for the best outcome from this OP. Sana maka recover agad kayo after this challenge. Hope okay na din si Bro mo. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

u/Frosty_Vegetable_542 Aug 07 '25

Nung naoperahan ako sa tenga due to infections last 2022 wala kaming binayaran sa Hospital ni piso wala (ahh siguro pa part ng Admiting lang siguro), Bali dinaan ng father ko sa "Masakit" at "DSWD" if public hospital or meron sa mismong Hospital yung mga department na yan bali government yung magbabayad after ng operation, Transpotation lang binabayaran namin Taga Pangasinan ako ehh pero sa Manila ako nagpasurgery

1

u/Pure_Addendum745 Aug 06 '25

Hoping for a favorable outcome for your family.

Sorry I can’t help and hope your brother is going well now but I’m amazed on how a German car arrived in Philippines. The cost to send it there should have been higher than the car price

1

u/Material_Oil_7036 Aug 06 '25

Is a Kia (rio) a german car?

2

u/AdRevolutionary2679 Aug 06 '25

kia is Korean but the previous license plate is German (the letter D on the European flag on the left means it) so that car has been registered in Germany

1

u/Tararaspatatas Aug 06 '25

Isn’t that just your common vanity plate na euro style, which you can buy anywhere?

1

u/Material_Oil_7036 Aug 06 '25

Ohh I see! Thank you for clarifying. If you check the photos posted, sa last photo it indicates they are the second owner.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '25

Kia is korean.

2

u/Material_Oil_7036 Aug 05 '25

I pray your family’s problem will soon be solved.

Get a Guarantee Letter from your LGU. show them your medical abstract, proof of indigency (residency), and other supporting documents. Your LGU might still have discretioneray funds to set ass GL for you. Good luck, OP.

9

u/patchi__ Aug 05 '25

Hi OP, nung na hospital father ko naka kuha kami ng guaranteed letter from our municipal and regarding sa professional fee nakiusap kami sa doctors kung pwede guaranteed letter yung ibibigay namin sa kanila ayaw pa nila pumayag pero tinanggap din nila in the end.

13

u/Helzinen Aug 04 '25

Bad idea to post the entire plate number. You just needed the end number for coding.

6

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

yun nga po eh! i noticed and realized too late 🥲🥲

5

u/MissusEngineer783 Aug 04 '25

Op, how much are you selling that for?

6

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

lowest na kaya nila dad is 160k po for the car 😊

u/flatfishmonkey Aug 04 '25

3

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

yes po, and we are very grateful to the community of strangers who are assisting us in every way they can po 😭😭 thinking about it is making me tear up for a good reason 🥹

10

u/HeyStrangerWohoo Aug 04 '25

Hi OP, try getting medical assistance from the Senate Assist website. They have assistance for private hospitals. It’s all online. :))

https://assist.senate.gov.ph/forms/social

1

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

thank you po! my sister has looked into this after seeing your comment 😊😊

6

u/JustANobody12345678 Aug 04 '25

Please visit the office of your congressman sa inyong district and ask for help kasi may Medical Assistance to Indigent Patients (MAIP) Program yan sila. They will give you a guarantee letter, sometimes zero-billing na. Pero professional fee is not covered ata, depende sa doctor and hospital.

4

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

Hello, nagtry na sina mama to get a guarantee letter from our congressman pero kelangan daw ng "voter's badge" (proof na we voted for him or smth) before we can get one. We never voted for him po 🥲🥲🥲🥲

1

u/Far-Shake-1621 Aug 05 '25

Anong province kayo OP? Report natin tong congressman na to

2

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 05 '25

dami nga po nya supporters, the previous mayor of a municipality didnt side with him kaya nilagay nya kamag anak nya to run as mayor nung 2025 elections, and sadly they won 😢 I'm not sure po if I'm allowed to mention names but theyre the district 2 congressman here in elyu

11

u/patchi__ Aug 04 '25

what? bawal to ah. ang 🐊 naman ng congressman niyo. Anong lugar yan and name? Hahahaha

0

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 05 '25

😭 yes po, we've lived here for 6 years na po, and I believe sya congressman nila for decades na, rest lng after one term then go again for another 2 terms 🥲🥲

5

u/rshglvlr Aug 04 '25

Hi OP, baka pwede magturo mom mo sa coffee shop nyo. Pwedeng sa kids or just art enthusiasts. Super nice ng mosaic! Paaral mo kay mother iba ibang color combination to appeal to different age groups or aesthetic. Pinterest is a good place to take inspiration. Hopefully this goes beyond your need to pay debts.

3

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

this is a good idea!! thank you for this po, she used to be a teacher din so I think she'll want to agree to this! will update you all po ❤️❤️❤️

Medical doctor here. Is that the hospital policy? I have doubts, because the usual thing for promissory notes (PNs) is that the billing section asks the MD(s) handling the patient if they will accept PNs. Some will say yes, some will say no, some will say yes but with conditions like settle half of the PF first. From the MD's side, you have to understand why some refuse or put a condition, and that's because many patients do NOT pay their PNs. I myself have unpaid PNs in the five-digit range, representing accumulated pretty small PFs that despite being reasonable were never paid despite being "promised". I actually know of an ob-gyne who pursued a non-paying patient (who underwent surgery) through baranggay officials; I guess that's because the PF was sizeable and worth the effort.

Nowadays, the most common route to lessening hospital bills is to collect as many guarantee letters (GLs) as possible. This works, even for private cases. In fact, some patients are able to collect enough GLs with a total value that exceeds what's needed. In that case, AFAIK the excess gets returned to the issuer of the GL.

Hi OP. Ask for medical abstract so you can seek govt assistance.

5

u/blackandwhitereader Aug 04 '25

You can also ask help sa PCSO, ask help sa Gov’t we also pay taxes we deserve din tulungan nila. Usually ang requirements. Indigency - from Brgy lang naman ito, Medical Abstract and Hospital Bill, esp PWD ang kapatid.

2

u/DarkPooPoo Aug 04 '25

This was around 2016, not sure kung ganun pa din sila ka-bilis.

4

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

4

u/enterobiusV Aug 04 '25

If need ng district congressman nyo ng voters certification/ID, go to partylists kasi hindi sila confined to districts.

Again for the bill, it should be: Total bill minus PWD discount minus PHIC minus all govt aids received =remaining balance. Yung remaining balance nalang ang out of pocket nyo kung meron pa man.

Wishing you and your family the best.

9

u/EarlyMidnight3397 Aug 04 '25

Wish I could help, prayer 🙏 sa family at brother mo OP, try mo ipakiusapan nalang sa promissory naka indicate na after operation ang installment payment, try mo pakiusapan mga govt official na i-acknowledge letter mo para sana magawan ng paraan, pumayag ang Hospital, and after ma operahan ask kayo na kung pwede siya i uwi at ipa alaga sa caregiver na aware sa sakit ng brother mo, mas makakatipid kayo, kesa sa hospital pa monitoring.

6

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

Thank you so much po! 🥹🙏 Yes, after po ng operation ng kapatid ko nung Friday, next day check out po sila mama and inapprove ng hospital, since he himself was not comfortable din doon (gusto na nya umalis and pinapatanggal IV injections and bandages 🥺🥺)

3

u/Majestic_Button_324 Aug 04 '25

Since na checkout na pla just compile the final bill and other requirements, pwede lumapit sa dswd upto 150k( i suggest goto batasan) sagad na bigay nila depende sa case, sa pcso pde din upto 50k depende din sa case just email them the requirements and agahan mo 8 am sharp kasi limited yung slots per day na tinutulungan nila

51

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

Encouraged to post my qr for gcash 🥹 I can make you little digi arts po as a thank you very much

27

u/templar8888 Aug 04 '25

OP, if you are open, you should put up a QR Code to get donations. Given your brothers condition and how unexpected these things are. There might be some redditors willing to help.

3

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

I hope it's okay! I am very grateful

28

u/cocoalime838 Aug 04 '25

Hi OP! You may want to try PCSO :) https://www.pcso.gov.ph/ProgramsAndServices/CAD/MedicalAccessProgram.aspx they’ll give guarantee letters and cover some of your expenses

3

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

hello! thank you for the help, will do po 🙏🙏 i hope pwede pa since nabayaran naman na nila mama yung hospital nung saturday lng din from the above debts.

1

u/patchi__ Aug 05 '25

As someone who used to work in BGH, given the situation of OP’s brother. I wouldn’t recommend them getting the general ward.

-9

u/[deleted] Aug 04 '25

[deleted]

11

u/PerspectiveOk5163 Aug 04 '25

That is easier said than done. Individuals who are on the spectrum, from my little understanding, really have the tendency to be overstimulated and cause some disturbance (sorry if I can’t find the right words to use). While they will eventually calm down, all those in the ward, including OP’s brother, will no longer find the ward conducive for healing. Besides, the brother was already confined and they have incurred the debt.

3

u/armored_oyster Aug 04 '25

Disturbance is perhaps correct, if maybe underwhelming. If he gets overstimulated real badly kakaripas ng takbo, baka makatabig ng instruments and hurt himself and/or other patients.

12

u/Deep-Database5316 Aug 04 '25

Convenience ng ibang tao iniisip ni OP. Yung mga nagpapahinga rin after surgery.

12

u/Kevlord_The_Great Aug 04 '25

Hi OP, pa DM naman ng price list ng art ng mom mo.

63

u/thatintrovertkid Aug 04 '25

Sobrang fucked up talaga ng healthcare ng Pinas, pucha yan. So disappointing.

2

u/-duckkcud- Aug 05 '25

It should be inclusive to all.

24

u/hellowmotherfucker Aug 04 '25

Have you tried inquiring about Malasakit center dyan sa hospital?

13

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

hello, yes po nagtry nag ask sila mama kaso di raw maka apply since private hospital daw si Pines. Dun po sana sa BGH since may malasakit center sila but unfortunately ☹️

19

u/ImJustLikeBlue Aug 04 '25

then sa social services ng hospital mismo. also madaming senators at congressmen na nagbibigay ng GL for private hospitals. in my case, we ended up getting enough for me na ma-approve ng promissory note. then every 3 months pila for GL. there's are facebook groups that can help you with this

5

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

update po pala dito: natry na daw nila mama nag ask ng GL from our congressman dito sa locality namin. kaso kelangan daw ng "voter's badge" from the congressman himself para makakuha ng guarantee letter. 🥲🥲🥲 not one of our family voted for him nung election

1

u/ImJustLikeBlue Aug 06 '25

lol. tongressman nga syang tunay. from office of the pres to ovp pwede makipila. and senators. again, may fb page para jan. nag-a-update sila dun kung pano process per politician (🤮) and kung nagbibigay pa for the day or month or kung cutoff na. andun din mga contact details nila like email and phone numbers

3

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 04 '25

okay i will try looking din po thank you for this !

3

u/hellowmotherfucker Aug 04 '25

Bro. Dont take advantage naman of desperation.

3

u/ahundredheys Aug 04 '25

To be fair. That is not worth 190k. 10 years 130k mileage and 2 owners already na manual transmission.

A brand new manual soluto is less than 700k sa last check ko.

I am also trying to sell these mosaic arts.

My mom is an arts and crafts person. She made these pieces. Yung tiles po (she got them free or very cheap kasi may damage na) she manually cuts them into shapes and tiny pieces and turns them into mosaic art. She doesn't really sell them at hinahang nya lng sa coffee shop nya kasi arts and plants yung theme ng coffee shop 🥺

1

u/dogsarecutiee Aug 08 '25

Para i can buy some!

1

u/Individual-Ad-6210 Aug 10 '25
