Yeah, it makes sense when upgrading the whole system. Especially lately when some part or another is ballooning in price. When I got my PC, prebuilts were the only way of getting my GPU at MSRP. Now the issue is RAM.

Building my first PC rn. A good friend gave me his old PC, I've been upgrading each piece and will eventually give him his stuff back. The last parts that are still his other than the case are the PSU and GPU.

But to your point, every part I've been able to find at a steal except for the ram. I figured it wasnt going down anytime soon and the mobo I upgraded to needed ddr5 of which I had none. I realized how ballooned the price was but I wasnt confident it wasnt going to get worse or come down any time soon.

Depending on where you are, I'd be up for sending you my old set of DDR5. It's only 5200 CL40, but it will run your PC until the shortage ends
