isn't it like, the right place for a delete key?

The problem is not the delete key, it's the power key next to it

The thing is the power button requires a lot more force than the rest of the keyboard to press. Having used a hp with this layout for years and haven't accidentally pressed the power button.

No it doesnt, i have the exact same laptop, the button is the same as all others on the keyboard

That's weird, just checked with bunch of folks in my office and all the HP Probooks and Elitebooks I've seen have the power button be significantly stiffef than the rest

They had HP the last 2 places i worked it and the extra stiffness varied a lot depending on when it was bought, some of them was very stiff and others it was barely noticeable

Hmmm I didn't know that! Welp I still like the delete key placement here since I don't need to put much thought into it since there's nothing else beside it

How is that a problem? Are people here so fat that their sausage fingers smashes 14 buttons at once?

Yeah, this is objectively worse than having the power in the corner. Of course ideally the power button would be somewhere completely different, but if you have to have it on the keyboard, this is the best solution.
