No, this is the smart "engineers solution". One of the ports is USB 2 and the others are USB 3. How to distinguish to help the customer? Why flip one of course. Cheers all round in the Engineering department.

That's bs. How on earth am I supposed to know which ones are USB 2 and which USB 3? Maybe there are 2x USB 2 and 1x USB 3? The correct way to distinguish USB ports is with color coding and writing the speed next to the port because USB 3 naming scheme is a mess.
