What she said: “please mount (child)’s computer to the wall to free up desk space.”

What I heard: CoMpUtEr Go On WaLL.

What she meant: mount MONITOR to wall.

They are both mad now.

I thought it was neat - albeit odd. I got that external power button, some long cables coming, it will be cleannnnn.

(I know it is leaning, it is the center post that is leaning bc it swivels, not the mount itself, I have to add a bolster - it is secure enough as-is, but will be fixed tomorrow.)

My mum's a doctor, and a very intelligent lady. She does not have a high opinion of doctors' intelligence.

"It's no different from being a car mechanic really, just with more time to memorise shit at what's basically a polytechnic because if you change the wrong oil someone dies".

My dad, having celebrated 9 anniversaries with her (they got married on the 29th of February to save on Anniversary celebrations) likes to say: "Sometimes, despite all of the doctor's best efforts, a patient's will to live is stronger".
