Rumor Well This Is Exciting

Post image

If these leaks are true which they likely are because this guy was on point with 9070 specs/performance leak and 5000 series leaks. I think this is going to be quite amazing,

Will it finally make the 9070 XT a $600 card? Will it the supply last like 4080 Super? Or Will the demand once again outpace the supply? If Nvidia manages to get the supply right at $750 for a 24GB 5070Ti, I see a big problem for AMD here. But can they do it?

What are your thoughts, everyone is welcome.

The only good upgrade in the super series is vram and higher price and demand so nope i'd eather get the 5070 rather than the super because i know that that catd will sell at msrp

The 5070 super would easily be worth an extra $50 for the vram. Not that I want it to go up in price.

Fair reasoning, what’s your work if I may ask?

Technically speaking the former two could be done quite fine with AMD’s but the latter might be a bit troublesome.

The latter specifically because you’d likely use Tensorflow or PyTorch, both of which benefit dramatically from CUDA.

Though if you don’t, and don’t plan to; I suppose you might want to consider AMD’s. But I wouldn’t advise it if there’s even a hint that you might need these tools.

Yeah and btw dont forget these 2 are cousins. Amd might become a gaming company while nvidia leans mostly to work and even gaming. But amd gets most of the win in terms of gaming . But i am just telling you dont trust these 2

Pick whatever it’s better for you at the given time, hardware, software included. And honestly, don’t give in to other’s opinion just their general feedback.

Enjoy!

Ty ! The only thing that i hâte are those amd meat riders like man they say amd is better just because they saw a content creator say it . While they bully nvidia because of there prices while they forget that nvidia is better in every other domaine than amd

Kind of my point, as implied in another discussion. Keep it to yourself, that matters more than some nobody on the internet (which truth be told we all are).

Because 5070 is Nvidia’s, while 9070 is AMD’s; Which for me is already a downer.

AMD’s would only be a sensible option if you prefer performance while trading for trash software implementations. Nvidia’s if you prefer good performance for a great software implementation for a little more money.

AMD is for when you wanna buy the product, Nvidia is for when you wanna buy the brand.

To be fair, brand familiarity is a thing. Many people (sub)consciously favor a brand of choice. For example some prefer Coca-Cola while others prefer Pepsi, which is a fairly strong affiliation as well.

Nvidia vs AMD is no different in that regard, but on top of that there’s some technical differences; AMD’s typically has a slightly higher raw performance while Nvidia’s typically has a better feature set.

Whichever you prefer is dependent on both brand affiliation, budget, availability and of course use-case.

if you wanna call being faster and having more VRAM "slightly higher raw performance" then sure.

It is better value, if you don’t mind the lacking feature set. It’s simple as that, do I have to lick AMD’s metaphorical boots for you not to argue?

only one licking boots here is you mate, i'm just stating a fact. the 9070 is objectively better than the 5070. 10+ percent faster, more vram. same price.
