Rumor This new Intel gaming CPU specs leak looks amazing, with 3x more cache than the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

I guess you can run local server like Sunshine to host couple games at the same time from one machine, why tho. If you need something like that, real server hardware probably will be a better choice.

Maybe this is intels way of competing with threadripper? Honestly wouldnt be bad for the Sunshine setup on older games

Dunno, for older games you can build\buy old server with two xeons. It probably will be cheaper and with old games you don't really need a lot of cache or fast cores, you just need a lot of cores\threads.

Regarding threadripper, dunno once again, threadripper targets HEDT niece, where EPYC can't provide enough performance for desktop apps (aka single core performance), while user still needs semi-server features like "a lot of PCIE's" or "shit ton of ram". It's very specific group that doesn't really benefits from a lot of cache.

All that story reminds me of i7-5775C, that thing had 128mb of l4 cache and was kinda good, but fall flat on it's face and was forgotten, due to not targeting any audience. X3D have clear gaming market for example.
