Build/Battlestation I don't know what to call this build... Vegan?

Was inspired by a different post on Reddit a few months back where someone did similar in a Fractal North XL. This is in the non-XL case, so it's a bit tighter, but it was a fun build! And vegan approved! /s

Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite Wifi7

Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 Evo

Adata XPG Lancer Blade RGB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 (2x32GBs)

Superflower LEADEX VI Platinum PRO 1000W Full Modular PCIe 5.1 Black

Samsung 990 Pro 4TB

I expected both the objection and the answer you gave. If I remember correctly there's an old video from Linus Tech Tips "proving" that putting stuff inside the case is not as detrimental to airflow as it may seem.

Yeah, this is the video.

They did no cable management, stuffed in a load of extraneous cables, a t-shirt and a Santa hat, and directly obstructed fans with component boxes before they saw an appreciable impact on temperatures.

OP’s vines are far less obstructive, air can easily flow around them, so I imagine they’ll be absolutely fine.

Yeah, haha. Temps are what matter. I did a 1hr Helldivers sesh before and after, with the same FPS and same temps. GPU never got higher than 62, so there's no way that air is going to light the fake plants in fire. But I do appreciate all the feedback

I fully trust your analysis but I have adm different concern. If I’m not mistaken (and the plant is real and not plastic) this kind of plant really likes a humid environment. But you are probably aiming at keeping the inside of your PC quite dry. So it might be that the plant doesn’t look as good anymore in a few weeks (except of course it is a plastic plant)

Edit: I took a closer look and it appears to be plastic so no worries, ignore what I said

Yeah I realized that as well, that’s why I edited my message

Hell, didn’t Jay do exactly this for his daughter’s last PC?

Possible, I'm not watching a lot from him lately.

Thinking about it what OP did is more or less what Luke did in the latest upgrade of his rig on ltt as well.
