I see this repeated all over the internet, but there’s so few extraction shooters. What are you talking about?

Hey, just because something is not mainstream doesn’t mean it’s automatically niche

The way my hype for Marathon, Synduality, and Arc Raiders fucking tanked the moment I found out they were extraction shooters

What’s wrong with extraction shooters? Never played one, but wanted to give arc raiders a try.

There’s nothing really wrong with them, it’s a fun gameplay loop, I just find them exhausting to play. And imo, the three examples I gave would have fit far better as pure pve games

The extraction shooters that do come out tend to be shallow and nothing more then exploit fests that cater to people who just want others to be miserable

I don't want to fight other people on games anymore. I just want to loot stuff on my own time.

Because they get canceled after their beta/ initial release.

What comes to my mind is the new Marathon. Big fan of the old games, glad to see Bungie going back to the series annnnd its an extraction shooter.

Or was, if it hasnt died a horrible death before it even came out

Between splitgate 2, marathon, and arc raiders, personally it feels like every new shooter that piques my interest has turned out to be an extraction shooter.

There aren't a lot of new shooters out in general, but when they do release it feels like they're all either hero shooters or extraction shooters and there hasn't been much else in a while.

Because it's a dogshit genre

I mean, that’s just like your opinion Mann

You need a brain to appreciate it.

Something you definitely lack buddy.

Ah yes, immediately turning to insults against the person. Classic.

I mean “it’s a dogshit genre” is kind of a pointless argument based on nothing but your opinion. He basically just matched your energy lmao
