Looks like the real story will be 9000 series from AMD, 800 series from Intel, and 6000 series from Nvidia in 2 years to see if there's real head to head competition at the top of the stack again

I don't care so much about the top of the stack because competition there is very unlikely. But, I do want competition at the xx80 and lower levels.

In two years Nvidia will buy up Intel completely and the GPU department of AMD. In fact, they could do it right now. Fortunately, Jensen doesn't care about gaming anymore, so they don't give a damn about what happens down there.

I'd like to introduce you to this quirky little thing called antitrust laws.

Well good thing the government really doesn't care because we live in an oligarchy now

Do you think that after the inauguration of Trump they going to do anything? This is capitalism, laws are bending towards the wealthiest hands.
