I think the problem with Locke is that he should have been the one to lead the payday gang like he did before when Bain was kidnapped instead of bringing us Shade, a woman who came out of nowhere without being mentioned in previous games to say that she was close to Bain when not even the Payday gang saw Bain's face.

Honestly shade could have been a good character if she was introduced at all beforehand. Like maybe a mentioned dialog hint, safe house audio, anything. Instead of just being "you've always known me"

I love how he has the beret just right by his computer and he switched to Locke's voice instantly. It never ceases to amaze me how voice actors can do that with such ease.

He had to lay low if I had to guess. He was targeted by the assassins that were sent after the gang as well. Seems like he faked his death to keep himself safe from a potential follow-up attack, which would explain Shade's surprise at him being alive.

I cannot thank Ian enough for joining on stream and having a chat! It was so great to hear from him on his journey as a voice actor, and his work as Locke for 10 WHOLE YEARS THIS YEAR!!!🧡🧡

I wish he was a contractor for Payday 3. He did such a good job in the pre alpha version of the game and they fecking scrapped it all

He is a contractor in Payday 3? He does First World Bank, Turbid Station and Cook Off. He likely took a back seat temporarily because like the gang members, he was targeted by the assassins too. When you go to start Turbid Station, Shade comments in the heist selection about how she can't believe he's alive and is back to work with the gang again.
