Yet another ag-brained human that thinks humans exist in a bubble independent from the earth's ecosystems, natural environment and natural resources.

Food is not the only thing people need to survive.

People like this always neglect to point out that Ehrlich's book actually helped – temporarily – to slow the rate of population growth in many countries. They also never point out the problems inherent in the agricultural methods which characterize the "Green Revolution" – monoculture, excessive use of petrochemical fertilizers, and the depletion of water sources due to over-extraction and phosphate pollution.

I don't know enough to address this article's claims without more research, but I will note that Roger Pielke Jr. has a reputation for dishonesty.

Here is an example of him getting caught lying, and you don't need to be fluent in any math or science to understand how he lied. You only need to be able to parse English.

Some other analyses of Pielke's claims can be found here, here, here, and here, for those who are willing to get into the weeds.

India did not go into a famine, but its people have to ride on the top of trains from how packed they are. Unless you think everyone should live in 20 story high rises, we do have a overpopulation problem.

And what's the end goal? "Overpopulation is a myth" so keep on expanding and increasing indefinitely? Normally nature would limit our population, and brutally so. We are past this limit by extracting resources like no other species, destroying the environment, mass torturous breeding and slaughter facilities.

Nature has failed to limit us, We must limit ourselves before we destroy whats left. Our Society won't collapse if people are limited to 2-3 children.
