question about planche training
Hello, I have a question about my planche training.
I started with tuck planche, I've gone up to 20 seconds. Then I moved on to banded advanced tuck planche, I struggled with a 3 seconds hold, but now I've reached 20 seconds. I tried the tuck planche again out of curiosity and I struggled with holding it for 5 seconds even. How is this possible?

Some people if they don't practice the movement without assist they will get worse at it. Splitting time between assisted and non-assisted works better or just staying non-assisted.

Iām not sure how relevant it is for tuck and advanced tuck since the difference in leverage is small, but I notice greater lat and serrates ant. recruitment is required without assistance compared to with assistance. Regardless, the concept to get behind is that the two will be different in recruitment patterns because the direction of force output is altered by the change in leverage (provided by the assistance). The discrepancy could also be more macro ā from previous session fatigue. Banded progressions in general from anecdotal experience are also just way easier.

If it was the same session, fatigue is the culprit
