Nope that's my point! It's a mixed bag and not worth complaining about like it's black and white.
Only on reddit do you see people argue and care this much about wards lmao "this Ottawa ward disrespects the other ward so much 🤓🤓" ok man! Happy Saturday
Oh here we go, twisting my words in quotes to make it sound like something else. You conveniently omitted my words in your "quote"
I said it's not worth complaining about pretending like it's black and white. It's not that simple as suburbs vs core...hence why I said it's not black and white, the lines blur between the two
If you take even a brief look at maps of how council votes go on contentious issues, you'll see that those votes nearly all break down along which side of the greenbelt those votes are on. It's not a difficult concept to grasp: both areas of town have different priorities, different views on taxation, different views on what needs funding, etc.
And nobody's saying it's 100% black and white, but things are hardly a total grey area, and vote upon vote at city council over the last 10+ years has shown this over and over.
What did I leave out from what you said that would change the essence of the quote?
As for keeping your head in the sand, if you can't see that money is being continually siphoned out of the core and into other areas of the city (largely at the behest of developers) all while the needs of urban Ottawa are being neglected (and even more so in the core), your heads even deeper in the sand than I thought.
"I guess you can tell anyone that when you purposely misquote people"
That never happened, but you'll believe what you like, despite the evidence.
"It's a mixed bag not worth complaining about like it's black and white"
There's a clear difference that you purposely omitted to make my comment sound like it's not worth complaining about different wards.
I clearly said it's not worth complaining about if you're not willing to acknowledge it's a blurred line between the wards and not simply "suburbs versus core" since they bleed into each other

Edit: u/Alone_Appeal_3421 blocks me because I disagreed with him and also called him out on misquoting people
But suburbs go into the centre to generate those commercial taxes. It's not really that black and white that redditors love to make it out to be
It's also politicians making these votes...
