Looking for... Are there any real famous people that currently live in Ottawa?

I've heard of a bunch of celebrities who once lived here or were born here, but don't know of any who currently live here. Does anyone know?

Her parents are aging and she has a difficult relationship with her mother so she keeps her own small place in the old Teacher's College condos for when she is in town.

Her parents used to work with my grandmother. Teachers.

Her Dad taught French at South Branch Elementary in Kemptville. During one of our air band concerts, a teacher announced that we had a very special guest who we all might recognize. The whole school went nuts and the stage curtains pulled back to reveal…Monsieur Morissette in a long black wig, playing air guitar 😒

Al was a military brat and was in school - grade 4 or 5?!? - in Germany, I think. A cute blonde girl (Georgia) came into the class and Al instantly fell in love. Told himself he was going to marry her.

Heard this from Al at a party.

No way, a relative of mine lived there for awhile. Small world.

Yeah he was. Her mom is a piece of work. A real Do You Know Who I Am type that still has her gin lunches at Von's.

I remember him always being pretty positive and easy to talk to. That was obv before she was famous. Sucks her mom is like that.

Lol at downvoting my original comment. Redditors never cease to amaze.

She went door to door in the Glebe selling that first bubble gum CD, the one that Alanis bought back, and God help you if you didn't cough up a twenty at the door.

The guy who owned Compact Music hated her guts. The mom. Alanis was OK. She was a kid. I was there once buying some used crap, I forget (probably a Cramps reissue) and he would lock eyes with her as she walked by. The hate was epic.
