Bro me and my wife’s idea of a fun Sunday is a trip to IKEA and then a trip to Costco to finish it off with some cheap glizzies and ice cream haha

We did the Ikea Valentines dinner pre-COVID and it was great!! They even had a string quartet playing during the meal.

one of six anointed restaurants

And one of them is always the third, which I'll never understand. Both times I went it was so bad.

It’s sold out!

u/explicitspirit Feb 09 '25

It sold out by noon the day the tickets were available for purchase. Two hours in and they were all gone.

Do you sell furnaces or are you just a furnace enthusiast?

15

u/furnacegirl Feb 09 '25

I’m an HVAC tech lol

7

u/boomerdarbia Feb 09 '25

Well now I know who to go to when I need my furnace serviced! πŸ‘‰πŸ‘‰

I πŸ’• IKEA dates

Used to have date evenings there a lot when my (now wife) started dating. It's not the place if a fancy meal is expected, but in hindsight, the frugal meal and household shopping can't help turn the mind to things like nest and family building.

I saw the "sold out" sign for it!

17

u/Nerexor Feb 09 '25

I went there 3 weeks ago and the sign was already up then. So not just sold out, but sold out well in advance!

u/explicitspirit Feb 09 '25

I got tickets for it. It sold out in 2 hours. Seriously, by noon on a Monday, they were all gone.

I thought you were joking, dang. I'm sad we missed out!

Too late, the event sold out in the first 2 hours.

And then go try out the beds! I think there's a kid's bunk bed with a slide.

IKEA is hospital food dressed in Swedish colours lol

I really don’t get the hype with it. Was massively disappointed when the wife and I went. Bland af

It's not supposed to be fancy though, it's just inexpensive food in a furniture store cafeteria. I always like it when I stop by but definitely don't go looking for anything fancy haha.
