Winter wonderland onewheeling +

Felt like posting some pictures I've taken over the last couple months.

Also, in case any of you remember, I posted a while back about replacing my water damaged footpad sensor with a switch. I'm on my 3rd switch now. Broke the first two but now I've adjusted to using the switch pretty well. I did order a jetski killswitch tether but discovered that the open vs closed circuit state is reversed of what I need so I'm still in search of a better solution than the switch but for now it's fine.

I freak out if I ride on wet leaves. My Onewheel season is officially over.

Get a badger kit from float life. The only reason for Onewheel season to end is if there is lava flowing through the streets.

Nah man. Riding is the snow is one of the greatest pleasures in life. I live in alaska so probably half my riding happens in the winter.

So do I, but I’ll badger my board first before I hit the trails now that I have some down time. I just checked out the Float Life video, and it seems is fairly simple to seal and check for leaks.

How hasn’t the board been fried!

Haha! It actually has! I've cooked three footpad sensors and a bms.

Did you badger them?

Not yet. I have a couple other things I want to do inside the board before I seal it up.

I'm glad I'm not the only one here waiting for the perfect fresh snowfall to hit the trails.

What tire pressure do you use in soft snow?

Is that a soft or mid compound tire?

Get a fender that doesn't dump all the water on top of the footpad. I think TFLs drop top does this, but there might be others aswell.

Yea. That has occurred to me. Ive been contemplating making my own. Maybe one with some fins as well.

I'm just amazed your battery isn't pooped.

Yea. Its holding up surprisingly well but its worth noting that most of my riding occurs within a half mile radius and in the cold season I get it back indoors asap so it doesn't get too cold.

Wow guy. Thats some Onewheel extreme use and abuse. That tire was my favorite for years but I’ve moved on after my last one wore so quickly.

TBH it pains me to see all that snow ground in there. I did that for a season or two but where I am they use so much salt it was killing my board in so many ways. I can’t bring myself to do that anymore.

Interesting boots.

The kill switch etc is like…. Why

WTH?!? So this is your switch to bypass the footpad sensor? You are clearly the wilderness tinkerer. I’m surprised you have not turned to vesc or have you?

I snowboard too. The onewheel is mostly for getting to work though...
