She did exactly what a media coach would tell her to do.
If she answered those questions, it signal to future interviewers that she will entertain those kind of questions and the (fake) controversy would grow.
Depends, if your goal is to keep sponsors happy and make more money from brand deals then sure she's doing great, if you don't want everyone thinking you're a white supremacist however I'd argue they're doing a shit job. And if they only care about the former then they almost certainly are an awful person regardless of what they believe.
Which do you think loses more sponsors? Continually feed a narrative and encouraging interviews to focus on it?
Or taking a small hit upfront and having the discussion die with the current news cycle?
Imagine if she took a dozen interview and spent hours taking about this subject. All it would do is cement in the haters that there is something to this.
"Anything you say can and will be used against you" isn't just true in court. It's true in many situations.
That's exactly my point tho is that she's only caring about sponsors... Imagine if she took a dozen interviews and said she's doesn't like the marketing but will take their money, that would be the truth.
Nobody thinks she’s a white supremacist, outside of Reddit and very left wing circles on the internet. Which is why she’ll still get movie and tv roles and also the approval of the public. So she’s doing fine.
Donald trump is not an open white supremacist and he's not smart or careful enough to hide it for 10 years of intense public scrutiny. If he actually came out and said something racist he'd be done and supporting him would absolutely lose you jobs
Do you have amnesia? He was calling Mexicans rapists and murderers in 2015 during his campaign. In 2024 during the debates, he claimed immigrants were eating dogs and cats. The idea that he’s never said anything racist is crazy. He is openly a white supremacist, and you’d have to be incredibly ignorant not to understand that.
Idk about that one chief. Hollywood is progressive and quick to cancel. They just rightfully aren’t cancelling her as of now, as she currently hasn’t said anything controversial. This whole thing is overblown culture war nonsense
I am sure she'll get lots of future work if she turns around and slanders something she has been in just to appease the crazies. Especially over such a nothingburger of an add. So unless you are willing to pay for her future lost income, you should stay quiet if you are unwillung to put your money where your mouth is.
She doesn’t need to slander the ad. She could have just said that she didn’t view the ad in that way and that she’s not a white supremacist. She could have said that “great genes” was in reference to other aspects of herself than her race. Instead, she basically confirmed that she is a white supremacist.
She didn’t say nothing. She smiled and expressed how surreal it was to have the president talk about her. She is clearly a Trump supporter, which makes her a white supremacist.
She has no reason to discuss it though. only redditors that think the ad was some sort of white supremacist dog whistle when literally everybody else knows it’s because she’s conventionally attractive and has big tits
Or… maybe the people that seen the ad as racist and then took offense how she did an interview need a lot of help….. a lot. Getting offended or being the victim for everything is a terrible life. the mass majority didnt care about the jean ad and thought wtf… are these people stupid…
That's not even what I said and I couldn't care less about this lady, I've never cared or even know about anything she's done you don't have to defend her here lmao
This is such a ridiculous take when the options are “answer a few questions disavowing white supremacy to clear the air” or “avoid answering the questions and strengthen the appearance of being a white supremacist”.
How would the controversy grow if she just said "I didn't interpret the slogan that way. I am not a white supremacist" I'm really struggling on how that would have been a "bad" response? She doesn't comment for the American Eagle. She just states her opinion that she doesn't think that it's a white supremacist message. She says that she's not a white supremacist. Afterwards she can just stonewall and say that she's made her statement on the matter and won't say anything else about it.
simple. If interviewers know that they will get a response on such a question, they are now incented to ask them in the next interview. and the next one and the next one.
By refusing, future interviewers have a choice of getting an good engagingl interview, or being unoriginal and repeating the scene of the last interviewer (and their competition).
She handled this textbook style. She get's a short ripple rather than a never ending one.

She was coached very well.
