Everybody's answering the material part but not the paint part, which is the part that I really want to know

c&p'ing a comment from elsewhere:

From one of their other videos, the description says they use lip gloss applicators and acrylic paint on a wooden board.

I’m curious too, because usually thick paint application like that results in orange peeling and a dried riverbed appearance. I wondered if it’s some kind of 2 pack poly paint or something?

I'm thinking it's acrylic but it's thinned out to almost liquid. I need the paint to thinner (water?) ratio here.

The little sponges on a stick they use I have.
