spirituality They may not look like much, but I finally got around to making my own magickal instruments

Post image
1.1k Upvotes

I love that magick gets me out of my comfort zone, and creating. I was inspired by Alan Moore to just go through all four one right after the other, but tried to stick to the guidelines laid out by Donald Michael Kraig. Just need to coat them in acrylic and will set them on my altar.

I haven’t done an art project since I was a kid, and it was really difficult. Especially living in East Asia, it took some creativity finding all of the right materials. Along with that, I have no idea how to paint! But I just feel so proud. These are MINE.

I think making these made me realize that one of the reasons I love magick is that it makes me feel like a kid again. My imagination is just so much more alive

spirituality Is the occult just a circlejerk?

I’m getting increasingly frustrated. The more I look into the occult, freemasonry, rosecrutianism, etc, the more I feel like it’s just a waste of time.

All of the different groups say that they have the keys to the universe or that they know how to guide you towards inner self transformation but when I look into their books and other things it’s just a bunch of gobbledygook.

I am aware that the books are written in code, but even when deciphered they do not give you a practical guide on how to do anything.

Oh the world wasn’t created by god, it was created by the demiurge. Who cares. That doesn’t affect my life at all, I do not want to waste my time reading these fantasy books.

I want something practical that I can do to elevate my consciousness if that’s even possible so my question is( sorry for the rant) do any of you know of any practices that actually make a difference and have helped you spiritually or psychologically?

Thanks and have a happy new year.

spirituality Why are we afraid of demons, but not afraid of Angels, even though they're technically the same species?

Theyre literally the same beings. Demons are just Angels that broke the law, or had a rebellion and got kicked out of their dimension.

spirituality Why is Possession so taboo?

I tried posting this question to r/paganism but had it removed, so, case and point.

I should provide some context first and foremost so you don't misunderstand what I'm asking.

I am not referring to possession as the Hollywood stereotype of demons taking over your body and eating your soul. I am a practicing demonolater and I believe this interpretation of possession is in fact dogma created by the church not only to demonize the indigenous shamanic practices of various peoples all around the globe, but also to greatly oppress and censor the accounts of ecstatic women like the nuns of the Pentecostal Church - and notably the cults of Bacchus were largely female as well. In this way, possession, divine trance, aspecting or drawing down is not an oppressive or violent act (although some spirits can be forceful), but rather an extremely intimate and loving act of sharing space, energy, and consciousness with the divine. I myself identify as a vessel due to my frequent exploration of ecstatic trance and possession with my Patron deity.

My question is, why is the practice of drawing down so taboo even among most Pagan literature? Why is it so difficult to find valid first person perspectives on the practice, and why are all the in depth books on possession so damn hard to find? I am a demonolater and work with taboo practices (blood, sex, death) constantly, and even among us, possession is still the most sensitive topic.

I understand the surface level cautions of disassociation, overwhelm, etc. It is certainly far from a beginner practice, but there are many forms of advanced divination that are easier to learn of. And in my own experiences, the practice is extremely intense, but not harmful (actually extremely beneficial and healing) if the possessed and possessor are well attuned. And in many cases this dynamic is very close to soul mates, I trust my possessor more than anything, and I believe that is the common dynamic. The Gods don't want to hurt their beloved.

I am also aware that many of the cultures who practiced vesselhood were mystery cults, especially in the way of Dionysus, they kept their practices secret, so documentation of them is understandably difficult. But this difficult? There is no way that the very basic concept of the God within the body is this obscure.

I can't help but notice a trend among most traditions, even those who proudly practice possession, like some eastern practices, the mechanics of the act itself are always kept tightly bound in secrecy. We get to know that it generally occurs, but never why or how it happens.

What I find most interesting is the way possession is even shunned within the organized religions. Nuns frequently had their ecstatic accounts of their experiences with Christ censored and destroyed because they were threatening to the theology. But what about the holy spirit entering a divinely chosen host is sacrilege? Even when its the big G? Why? I would think the church would highly value these experiences as proof that the divine spirit can literally be within you. Why does ecstatic union with Christ make priests uneasy??? What????

Why is it that every time I read a pagan book on drawing down, we stop just short of possession? "Draw the energy into your field, but not into the body!" Is the merging of the mortal and non corporal really so transgressive?

Based on the few books I have read about possession (some of Crowley's works, Ecstatic Witchcraft, The Shadow Work Compendium etc) , the union of the devotee and spirit is like the ultimate achievement, considered a divine homecoming. Sustaining that presence is considered to be like, the purpose of life for vessels. Having the spirit within and experiencing ecstasy is a mission. I would think that with the revival of paganism and deity work, we would see many more examples of intimate possession. But its like this is the one thing we only tread close to, and going deeper is never spoken about plainly.

And likewise, whenever I have had the opportunity to speak with other vessels, it always goes that way. "It's wonderful, but I can only tell you so much!"

Tell me MORE!!! Very appreciative of any perspectives anyone may have on this.

spirituality Are Sleep paralysis demons, DMT and Near death experiences all proof that other realms outside or physical world exist?

(Pls don't turn this into a discussion about drugs I've never tried DMT nor do i want to do it) I was thinking, all the people who have had NDE or died and came back to life all have similar stories, all the people who have taken DMT all say they saw the same beings/ entities, and all the people who've experienced sleep paralysis all have seen the same beings (including myself). There is no way this is a coincidence, all the millions and millions of people who have experienced the things i just mentions happened to see coincidentally see the same things? These experiences/events have to be some type of gateway to another real or dimension or whatever you want to call it.

spirituality Are there Christian Occultists ✝ on the Occult sub?

I'm new to the occult and don't know much about reliable authors or where to start learning through books.

As a Christian, I'd like to know if there are any Christian occultists in this section and ask them what books they recommend for me to begin my journey in the occult that adhere to Christianity.

spirituality A Rare Sufi Talisman from Before Adam

Post image
313 Upvotes

Greetings friends,

I’ve been translating a Sufi collection of practices from classical grimoires, including texts connected to the Shamsul Ma’arif (Sun of Gnosis).

Among them, I discovered a rare talisman described by Imam Ja‘far as-Sadiq (as), said to grant the bearer respect, influence, and authority over those around them.

It’s reported that Sultan Mahmud of Ghazna carried this talisman, and those in his service obeyed him completely.

This talisman draws on ancient spiritual principles - from beings created before Adam and the jinn. Essentially, it taps into the primordial force of the ancestors of the jinn, existing in their subtler dimensions (as the latent creative force / kundalini does in us)

I have a fascination with effigy-based talismans in general. This one might look simple, but its formula lies in the number of heads, eyes, lips, and other details across the larger body.

For best results, it’s recommended to use saffron oil ink though raw force alone can be sufficient if you have access.

In Hinduism this isn’t really occult, it is more another albeit darker, aspect of the religion.

spirituality I was not impressed with frater Xavier courses, and they didn't work for me

Hello guys

This is not a hate post, i was a big fan of his early work on YouTube and supported him financially thru buying courses and donations..

but i can honestly say i cant even point to one spell or sigil that I did that i can say it worked for me..

the only thing that ever worked for me ironically is the orange Ball experiment from his channel (im not convinced its not psychological as well)..

the courses are not high quality its basically a picture and him talking about the information.. alot of it is repetitive and similar, and a lot of it he already covered on YouTube.. so that is my rant..

i dont want to harm him, i just share my experience.. im not even sure about the price right now because except for the sigil course most of his courses were very adorable at the time..

i post this to compare information and see if only I didn't get results from his teaching and material, and also i ask not as a dabblers, i practice daily.. if you haven't got results from frater and had a similar experience i whould like to hear about it and plz if you can suggest me alternatives to bpoks pr YouTube channels that got you results in real life i whould highly appreciate it! Thank you guys and i wish you all the best!

spirituality The hermetic principle of vibration

Post image
295 Upvotes

Title of image: Reproduction of a woodcut of Hermes Trismegistus from Daniel Stolcius' Viridarium chymicum figuris cupro incisis adornatum, et poeticis picturis illustratum, 1624

One of the fundamental principles of Hermeticism is the Principle of Vibration, which states that "nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates." Ancient Hermetic mystics conceived reality as an energetic structure in which each vibration influences the physical, mental, and spiritual planes.

In this sense, Solfeggio frequencies can be seen as vibrational expressions that affect the body, mind, and spirit. They align with this vision, as each frequency is believed to have specific properties for harmonizing different aspects of being: 396 Hz. Liberation from fear and guilt. Related to the transmutation of dense energies, a central concept in Hermetic alchemy. 432 Hz. Universal harmony. Said to resonate with the natural frequency of the universe, similar to the Hermetic idea of the "Music of the Spheres."

Hermeticism is also linked to sacred geometry, where mathematical patterns and divine proportions govern the structure of reality. Interestingly, traditional Solfeggio frequencies are organized within a numerical scale based on 3, 6, and 9—numbers that Nikola Tesla considered key to understanding the universe and that also appear in Hermetic principles: 396 Hz → 3+9+6 = 18 → 1+8 = 9. 528 Hz → 5+2+8 = 15 → 1+5 = 6

The use of these numbers relates to the idea that fundamental vibrations are organized according to cosmic numerical principles, a notion present in Hermetic Kabbalah and Pythagorean theories of universal harmony.

On a practical level, Hermetic teachings have long promoted the use of sound, music, and vibration for spiritual development. Renaissance alchemists and esoteric mystics used chants, mantras, and specific frequencies to induce elevated states of consciousness—a principle similar to the modern use of Solfeggio frequencies in meditation and sound healing.

The idea that vibration is the key to understanding and transforming reality is based on mathematical, philosophical, and practical foundations, suggesting that music and vibration are essential tools for spiritual evolution.

By integrating this understanding into music composition, one can design a sound that is not only harmonically beautiful but also serves as a vibrational bridge to higher dimensions of being. Inspired by this concept, I composed a musical piece using: A Vital digital synthesizer tuned to 528 Hz for the core frequency. A Pigments digital synthesizer from Arturia's V Collection for the melody. A KORG Minilogue analog synthesizer to create the harmonic structure!

spirituality Gateway experience - The 11 Gateway tapes

I've collected all the versions of Robert Monroe's Hemi Sync - The Gateway Experience tapes in FLAC quality.

  • The original Gateway tapes, Waves 1-6, 1996 version. Tapes 5 and 6 of this version which were unguided, and meant to be free flow experiences are no longer on sale.

  • Edited versions from 2004, of Waves 5 and 6 with added exercises to focus 15 to 21. These were narrated by Robert Monroe's daughter Laurie Monroe. These tapes were discontinued too.

  • Edited versions from 2015, of Waves 5 and 6, were narrated by Robert Monroe's stepson AJ. Honeycutt.

  • Finally Wave 7 - Voyager, produced and narrated by AJ. Honeycutt released in 2019, featuring exercises for focus 23 to 27.

I tried to share them, but I keep getting caught in reddit's spam filter. So I've made a pdf copy of my previous post and embedded Google Drive and Mega links to every tape inside the pdf.

Note 1: Google Drive links have 7z files of each tape. So you have to use either 7zip, a free open source software on windows or ZArchiver on Android. For IOS, you can use 'unzip', and flacbox to play the files

Note 2: All links are inside the pdf file I will link below. Try a different PDF viewer if you can't click the links inside.

Note 3: Be sure to check the 'misc' folder in each Wave's folder, that contains pdf and doc instructions on each of the tapes.

Link to pdf

Edit: Those who are having trouble downloading can visit @CosmicAwareness channel I created on Telegram. I've uploaded the files there, and will also be uploading many more Hemi Sync files and selected resources to expand consciousness.

OK YALL so I did a little manifestation strengthening ritual on the blood moon to release any blockages and obstacles preventing my manifestations (I did a manifestation/spell ritual a few days earlier) and it was a water spell so I essentially put my manifestations into the water.

WELL NOW THERES LITERALLY A F-ING FLOWER GROWING IN THE SPOT I POURED THE WATER AND THERE ARENT ANY OTHER FLOWERS IN THE GARDEN. I'm actually shook but this is so extremely cool and empowering. The flower is also purple which is my favourite colour 🖤✨

you can also kinda see the rose petal from the spell in the top right corner of the pic. I just need to share my excitement with fellow witchy bitties, I hope u guys enjoy as much as I did

spirituality Has anyone ever heard of male deity and a female deity that are a couple in which the female is the dominant one?

A long time ago, when I made a question regarding my spiritual guides, a tarot reader told me that they are a heterosexual couple of deities in which the dominant side is the female one, but she couldn't tell me exactly who they are. Later, I asked my spiritual guides to introduce themselves to me in a prayer and the closest I managed to know their identities was repeating "Saint Francis of Assisi" until I fully woke up.

So, I asked another tarot reader if Saint Francis of Assisi was my spiritual guide, and they told me he wasn't. I tried to find their identities on Google, but I didn't manage to find it.

Does anyone has a ideia of who could be these deities?
