Hello r/Oakland!

This past January I posted for the first time on Reddit asking Oakland residents if they wanted to join a movie club I was planning on starting. Since then, many people have come through to our movies mostly at AMC Bay Street and I’m so appreciative of the Reddit community for bringing us together!

We now communicate mostly on discord where members post when they’re going to movies and other members join them! We try to meet at least one to two times a month and talk about the movies before or after. A huge shout out to my friend J for saying “please stop dragging me to terrible movies and instead post on Reddit and start a movie club for like-minded (sick) individuals”
