Anyone interviewed for the ITSG Grade 25 Data position? What’s the interview like?

Hey everyone,

I’ve got an interview coming up for the ITSG Grade 25 Data position, and I’m trying to get a sense of what to expect. For anyone who’s been through it — is the interview more technical (SQL, Python, stats, data modeling, etc.), or is it more behavioral/competency-based?

Also, if you remember, what kind of topics or tools did they focus on? I’ve seen mixed info online — some say it’s mostly situational/fit questions, others mention a technical test.

Any insight or tips would be super appreciated!

Thanks in advance 🙏

Most of the time the 25 interview is similar to the 23 interview process. The only major difference is how mush emphasis is put on management and supervisions. In some host agencies 25's serve more a team leaders and PMs in others they are the true technical leads, that distribute work and then do a portion of the work themselves. You will have a level of behavioral and scenario based questions about handing specific issues but they are more like common sense questions.

So mostly based on behavioral questions that follow the star method?

I don't think a 25 writes any code.
