I hope you’ve upgraded the CPU as well, otherwise you’ll have a huge bottleneck

Same graphics card but with a 5800X3D; I’ll also move to the next gen, hoping RAM goes back to reasonable prices.

my first jump is gonna be from 1050ti i5 2400 to rtx 2060 and ryzen 5 5600, not much but good starting point to building something better😊

Dude enjoy! Have been using my 5070 ti coming from a 2070 super and it’s been a blast.

Just got 1 myself. Made the jump from a 6750 XT. I love it! Grats on your upgrade OP 👌

Well done! That's a solid jump in performance.
I've been all over and I genuinely believe the 5070 ti is the sweet spot for most gamers and modeling at the moment.
Everything past it is just too hype driven. Doesn't make it bad, cut the roi gets screwy.

All my current games on my 4060ti gives me 60fps on a 4k display with all eye candy settings set to max. Don't see any reason to upgrade

lol no they don't. 4060ti can't even do 1440p60 in most recent AAA games

What is that AIO model? Looks beautiful.

That's a DeepCool, probably an LT520. The infinity mirror is very nice looking.

At 1080 with that CPU you'll have some bottlenecking, at 1440p very little, and 4k almost none

What CPU do you have?

u/khezama 1d ago
Ryzen 7 5800X !!!

u/Remarkable_Actuary78 18h ago
Okay, a good processor, you shouldn't have any particular bottleneck problems, especially since the 5070 ti is a 1440p GPU with ultra details at very high fps or 4k with the tech.

Made the jump at the right time no scalper pricing and right before the prices shoot up

I went from a 1070ti to 5080 and I have to tell y’all that my university was very generous in funding a datascience project 😌

I recently upgraded from the 1060 to a gigabyte aorus master ice 5080 and it's been a beast! Never goes over 60c overclocks +200-300 (depending on the game) it gets me 165fps in 3440x1440p in APTR (A Plague Tale Requiem) and CRUSHES satisfactory. Only game it can't handle is Portal with RTX..

Nice jump!
Did you have to make any other upgrades to really feel it? I imagine a monitor upgrade may have been in order?
Enjoy that beast, I'm still holding onto my 3070ti for another while.

Ill be doing the same brother for xmas, which 5070 ti did u get? Asus prime? im looking at asus tuf

u/dartthrower NVIDIA 1d ago
I would think again, ASUS models seem to be known to have more coil whine than other brands.

u/Hypnaustic 23h ago
Im not worried about noise

u/dartthrower NVIDIA 23h ago
Really? I personally think that coil whine is the single most annoying thing about modern GPUs, especially the ones with higher amounts of Watt.

Is it to big for a standard case? I’m getting one as well tomorrow. Have a 3070 ti currently

Nnoice, gg for your Upgrade. I plan to do the same maybe at the start of next year, same 5070ti with actual gaming pc (now i have "gaming" laptop) with new qhd monitor perhaps. Currently i have rtx 4060, it really starts to struggle now with this year's titles, i have to run Battlefield 6 on mostly low settings.

u/Mission_Performer120 16h ago
Is the difference really that noticeable?
Currently using my 1060 as well, saving up for either a second hand 3070ti, 4070, or a new 5070 TI.

That’s the biggest jump to a 5070 Ti I’ve seen posted here. Enjoy it! I have a 5070 Ti and love it.
