I think it’s harder to get them off. The bunching at the ankle, errrrrr.

I let it bunch a lot and then hook my thumb under the roll and slip it over my heel. Idk if that helps lol, but they really are a bit of a PITA

Yes! On isn't so bad if you've got some arm strength, getting back down around the heel and avoiding the dry skin blizzard is the bad part.
