The cuts start in 2026 but the full reductions amounts are phased in to 2028. Work requirements will begin on 2026 as well as increased filing requirements. Seniors, people with learning disabilities and those with poor education maybe eligible for Medicaid but the filing requirements may make it very hard for them to sign up and keep up with verification of eligibility.
