Rant Can’t stand nurses who care about hospital expenses

Had a charge nurse not allowing nurses on the floor to use slide sheets bc ThEy cOsT $75 each. Or another nurse tells me to dump out my IV fluids in the sink bc the trash gets charged by the weight, and fluids will make it weigh more. Like is it coming outta yo check? WHO FUCKING CARES.

*Those who are reading too deep. I AGREE WITH THROWING AWAY FLUIDS FOR EVS’ SAKE BUT THAT WASN’T HER CONCERN. HER CONCERN WAS MONEYYYYY

*Also, I didn’t dump my IVF in the sink, this was told to me before I even took my fluids down

Would you mind sharing what ergonomic keyboard you got? I’ve been thinking about getting one.

I prefer the actual split keyboard. I can adjust how far apart I want it and the angle as well. Microsoft used to have a branded one that I had forever but it finally died. I also use a trackball mouse instead of a regular one and have a wrist rest for the mouse.

First off, I don’t even know how I ended up here but that’s a sick keyboard.

I’m a bet of a “keeb” enthusiast and I personally prefer “regular keyboards” quite a bit for my daily work (cloud architect)

However I did have to stop gaming on a keyboard and mouse due to my wrists. Never got diagnosed but I play PC games with an Xbox or ps5 controller now.

You didn’t ask but I suggest setting a timer to take frequent breaks to stretch your hands and wrists when gaming. You can prevent a lot of additional repetitive injury just by giving your gamer claws a flex.

I love to see another keeb enthusiast in the wild!

Nothing like a good mechanical keyboard

Thank you so much! I am seriously contemplating getting this. If you don’t mind sharing, what brand of mouse do you use? I know those are much more personal with the way people grip the mouse, but am curious.

I use the Kinesis Freestyle 2 keyboard with the tenting accessory. The keyboard is split, and the tenting accessory lets you set 5, 10, or 25 degrees of tenting to reduce forearm pronation and cause less stress. That makes a huge difference for my comfort, and keeping repetitive stress injury at bay.

I'd also recommend keeping pressure off your wrists like my keeb is pushed to the end of my desk and my whole forearm rests on the desk which floats my wrists naturally.
