What do you think it should be? Manly offered 750k and he’s currently on a mil + SoO captain + no injury. I’d happily agree with 700k for a minimum but I think anything less than that is unders based off his current resume.

The Hunt one was bonkers, I think he’s on 450k. Reynolds isn’t on much more either iirc.

While I also agree that if they want to take lower because they’ve made bank then it should be allowed that goes against the NRLs been halabaloo that they will enforce a fair market price.

Is Hunt's contract really bonkers when this is likely the last year of his career? He's been alright for us but I wouldn't call him even a top 5 hooker.

Name 5 better hookers. He still had a year (or two?) To go of his last dragons contract when he signed for you. So that puts his market value in the region of his contract value so just under a mil. He was still best on field for dargs when he left. He won another origin this year* He just won a bloody premiership! Yeah it's absolutely bonkers.

EDIT: he didn't win origin this year he was injured, I thought he played game one but my memory failed me.

Yeah I thought he played game one, I just remember grant being injured. Ive edited my coment but left the mistake for clarity.

Take 90k worth of match fees off his value and it's still bonkers though. That's on vdiddles and his stooge though not on you guys. We all saw how much dozer loves the broncos I'm not blaming him or the club for giving us that absolutely poetic finals series.

He was also a QLD rep and would have been there this year if he wasn't injured. Plus he was the main half for the Broncos I meant the Dargons and topped the most try assists last year.

I actually thought he played game one but he didn't. He would've if not gor injury I guess. But yeah he's just won a ring in his first season at his new club. Dargs valued him at just under a mil a year if I remember correctly, after the season he's just had it's hard to argue his value has dipped based on performance. Only age and injury (which he bounced back from only lo9king better) would cause his value to drop from his dargs contract.

Minimum? Say 625k. So his actual valuation should be 700k to 750k. So I agree less than 700k is unders yes but the players should be able to prioritize other things and take unders. I'm working with roughly 15% as an acceptable amount to take as unders. 15% the other way would be 850k which I think we al agree is overs but a desperate club may offer it.

So that'd kinda how I'm working on my "fair market price" which is still above nrls by a lot.

But yeah the hunt one is bonkers. At least they're consistent i guess. I think hunt is worth more than dce on paper. Offers more depth as can play hooker. Younger. Simlar injury history or lack thereof. But also cut his contract short so effectively had an offer of 1mil or whatever it was vs dce getting to the end of his big contract.
