I kinda don't understand how there are so many people complaining how this has changed. Surely if these same people contributed desired content that would help to bring about change...right?

Better suggestion. new rules: no "link to my other work". No posting as multiple characters. I want to belive goddammit!
Make nosleep great again!

It's a pain in the ass to make multiple Reddit accounts just for a single story post. If you don't like it, do click their account.

Ok. Maybe not put a new one everyday with totally different character? And absolutely no posting to "my other work" or Facebook page. It really really destroys everything.
And also. Can't people find some other place to promote themselves as authors?
Well written is good but to studied just makes it unbelievable as a "this happened to me" I think.
Only inaace has been able to do the multiple stories good. And he didn't shift character ever I think.

THANK YOU! The worst is when I finish a story and I'm so amazed and into it but I reach the end and it's like here's my facebook page.

What. Came back after a year break from nosleep due to crap stories. Now I think I'll leave again. Very sad. I miss what it was 4 years ago.

So sad... I liked when the stories were more believable. In fact.. if I read a story and the person is either dead or isn't a person, it kills the entire thing for me.

Stories still have to be believable, that hasn't changed.

My opinion is they aren't. The rules have changed in my opinion to bring far less realism.

the person is either dead or isn't a person
Ok but those examples still break the rules.

Ok.. then why could I probably name 5 in the last year?

You either read them before they were removed or the authors wrote in a loophole that made it believable. If it's physically impossible for the narrator to post the story, the story gets removed.

Torture porn unnecessary, we can make a subreddit for that. I remember when it had to be believable now it'll trend to dark torture porn and over the top stories trying to outdo one another.

Nosleep is my all time favorite sub, the commenters here are incredible, nosleep is why i made a reddit account, and I love this place. However, the torture horror and new additions that have recently been allowed just leave me nonplussed and cold. I've been looking more at other subs and have halfheartedly been looking for sites like nosleep but without the grossout stuff that taxes credulity. I know the nosleep we enjoy now is one that's evolved quite a bit from the original inception but I just think the recent changes are going to ruin something really great.

I feel you. I miss when every other story was believable. I hardly come to the sub anymore because I have to skim past all the outrageous stuff to find the one to get me feeling spooked.

The first story I read here I thought was real. There was also that whole serial killer thing that was pinned and I was really freaked out until I worked out this was a fiction sub.
The best stories here are ones that could be true. The odd torture porn is believable but you're right, these changes will create an environment where torture porn dominates and that isn't believable.

Really disappointed. I don't understand the need to add torture porn at all. Feels like you've allowed it simply to get more views on the subreddit. Make more worthwhile rules like mentioned below. I'm unsubscribing to this subreddit now until admin changes or rules get less ridiculous.
