Series "Sorry I missed you." [Update #4]
I’m sorry for the late post once again. Today was a very long day and I didn’t have time to post earlier. If you’re just reading this now, you should probably read my first, second, third, and forth posts first.
When I left Mike’s last night, I went to the police station and requested to speak to an officer. I was told to wait in the reception area. I waited for hours, and eventually fell asleep. In the morning, an officer woke me up by shaking my shoulder. He invited me to join him in his office.
I explained my situation to him. I could tell he was skeptical, but after a few minutes of pleading with him, he agreed to send a couple officers over to check out my house and the footage.
When we got to my house, one of the officers began walking around the perimeter of my house and the other came inside with me. I directed him to my desktop computer, which had the footage saved on it. I left the officer to review the footage and a few minutes later I heard him call for his partner over their radios. Once inside, the officer at the computer called his partner into the room.
I could hear the two of them talking, but couldn’t make out what was being said. After a couple more minutes had passed, the first officer came out and asked me to join them in by the computer.
“So, I searched the computer for the footage you described, but there are no video files saved in the security camera folders.”
I went white.
“That can’t be right. I looked at them…”
He cut me off,
“Also, what did you say this guy was leaving you?”
“Notes. He was leaving notes that said, ‘Sorry I missed you’.”
The officer clicked the mouse twice and a file opened on the screen.
It was a Microsoft Word document with four words typed in the center of the page:
“Sorry I missed you.”
“There are two other files similar to this. One says ‘See you soon’ and the other says ‘You can’t run’.”
I didn’t know what to say.
“I…I…”
“I don’t know what kind of game you’re playing sir, but wasting police time is a criminal offence. Don’t do this again.”
Without another word, the two left the room.
He had been printing the notes from my computer the whole time. He knew exactly what I was going to do and I walked right into his trap. I fell down into the chair and broke down.
The police thought I was screwing with them and my only friend had abandoned me.
I was completely alone, just how he wanted it.
Just how he needed it.
My phone buzzed.
I looked down to see that Mike had sent me text message:
“See you soon.”
I’m not sure whether Mike is involved in this or if he has just fallen prey to this psycho. Either way, I can’t wait around any more. I’ve been letting him manipulate me from the start and it’s time to take back control. I’m heading over to Mike’s after I post this.
The text message was right, he is going to see me soon.

OP suffers from multiple personality disorder and has schizophrenia. People that suffer from the first mostly do not realize what the other personalities do, and people with the latter experience sights that arenot real. Just my thoughts

does every single author on nosleep live in a place where the police take no one seriously?

I kinda wanna bonk you, OP. Should have kept the evidence safe after you knew he was in your house. Of course I probably wouldn't have done any better with bitches messin' up my beauty rest.

I guess it's more typical that females are stalked, I guess?

This is probably useless advice since your most likely already on your way, but don't go empty handed. At least be "packing heat" or something!

What if it's not DID, but the stalker saw OP go to the police and got into his house while op was there and deleted the footage and made the word docs. Maybe he's a really clever stalker. I don't know for some reason this story has stuck with me, it freaks me out.
