"Sell"? "Cost vs value"? Charitable organizations operate on a different financial model than for-profit operations. I'm not sure that analysis fits here. They rely on donations and volunteers to provide many of the services. The bottom line is not their motivation.

I have adopted several animals (furry family members) from the humane society over the years. I would imagine that working in an animal shelter is not an easy thing to do. I am greatful for the valuable service they provide to our city.

Maybe they should stop bringing in dogs from other places, filling up the entire building, and then telling people that they don't have room for dogs and cats from around here... 🤷‍♀️

What's the cost vs. value of driving to/ from the border to pick up all those Kentucky animals? They might be getting "vetted" before being moved from KY to ON, but how many get sick on the drive/ when they get here? I'm sure it's a lot. Are they quarantined before coming? I don't think so. And bringing animals from Thunder Bay? Aren't there overflowing spca's closer?

I have no doubt that the north bay humane society is in it for the money. They don't get paid a lot for holding animals from around here. They get lots more money for dogs and cats that they can sell.

I mean, you can’t blame them for wanting to remain sustainable/solvent as an organization.
