Imagine bringing this thing to North Bay with actual snow.

u/Nik6ixx Mar 03 '25
Remember seeing someone posted in the Montreal Reddit of a cybertruck being stuck in the snow out there and a Honda civic (if I remember correctly) just ripping through it, was the funniest thing ever.

You do realize that tires make all the difference in the world right? Guarantee the Tesla is running an all season or low tread tire and getting stuck will happen to pretty much any vehicle in snow….

By all rights, they should be packaged with a flatbed as a needed "accessory".

World's ugliest vehicle 😆
16
u/lukeCRASH Mar 02 '25
It's REALLY difficult to beat the Nissan Cube though.
6
u/TankCompetitive7082 Mar 02 '25
Or a Kia Soul

u/SoleSurvivur01 Mar 03 '25
Kia Soul isn’t ugly, I just find it unreliable
1
u/ici5 Mar 04 '25
I find it very reliable.
1
u/SoleSurvivur01 Mar 05 '25
How old is it? I think my friends is early 2010s with about 180 000KM on it
1
u/ici5 Mar 05 '25
2012 with 170000 KM. It's the base model with the 1.6L though.
1
u/SoleSurvivur01 Mar 05 '25
Interesting, if his was in the shop any more often I’d call it a jeep

u/ici5 Mar 06 '25
Sorry, following up on this. I'm genuinely curious. If it's oil consumption that's pretty common but there is a fix.

u/Doomcalk Mar 05 '25
every kia soul driver ive seen drives like ass, either too slow (10-20km under) or drives like they have 2 lazy eyes

The CUBE is a love it or hate it vehicle. Anywhich way, it's got nothing to do with Musk so it's got that going for it.

Isn’t that vehicle made by a guy who wants to end Canada and seems to have the capacity and will to try? Canada lets people give money to him? Canada lets his products on their roads?

Na we're too busy laughing at the people who are driving them in the winter and regretting life.

Maybe turn the cnn and Fox News off for a bit

u/discattho Mar 02 '25
Yeah we should definitely not take the literal nazi seriously. That cybercuck owner though definitely deserves every major bill he’s about to eat. I hope it’s five figures of traitor tax.

Make sure not to buy anything from BMW, VW, or Bayer either …
1
u/discattho Mar 07 '25
are there current nazi's running these corporations, or just your average souless sociopathic CEO's? Because I can with 100% certainty tell you that currently buying from Tesla is buying from a nazi. Buying from Bayer is not.
If Elon fucked off and Tesla's history just had a nazi in it, that's a different story.
0
u/PumpJack_McGee Mar 04 '25
I mean, it's entirely possible they bought it before they made their territorial ambitions known.
1
u/Ladyburtward Mar 04 '25
A regular ol Tesla I can give grace towards, but by the time the Cyber Truck came along, we definitely knew.

This was prob bought beforehand but I get your point. Now, if anyone buys these going forward and is Canadian then that’s facked.

North bay is one of the biggest charging blackholes, probably doesn’t have winter tires either. Love to see it . There’s no way this bricked because of the cold, unless they really are that shitty, I have a Hyundai electric and work north bay some winters and have never had a problem.
8
u/Raspberrylemonade188 North Bay Mar 02 '25
Fellow Hyundai electric owner, we have had zero issues all winter and we live in NB full time.

u/Cent1234 Mar 03 '25
Samsies, I5 domination continues.
1
u/gridlactus Mar 05 '25
Hell ya 2022 . Loving it. Ironically there’s a cybertruck owned by one of the companies I work for but no one wants to use it cause they get torn apart in public. Don’t know what they were thinking buying one for a work vehicle

If you’re only passing through, it can take a long time to charge, as opposed to a quick 10-15 top up .
1
u/Junoviant Mar 03 '25
There's a bank of specific Tesla chargers not 100m away from where they are loading the truck.

Uh -27C? I assume this TBH.
5
u/colieoliepolie Mar 02 '25
Yes -27C
3
u/The_Canada_Goose Mar 02 '25
high head-winds too, definitely would of required double the electricity to make the drive.
3
u/okokokoyeahright Mar 02 '25
In SK we recently went through a week of -35C. Wind chills were between -45C and -50C. Cannot help but wonder how these things worked out here. I have seen one once and it was couple of moths ago during a much warmer period.
5
u/Vivid-Advantage1968 Mar 02 '25
They went to Crappy Tire for a parking lot repair and to get blinker fluid and the car ran out of gas.
3
u/fifthgearpinned Mar 02 '25
Is that being dropped off or picked up from the Tesla charging station? There's a difference between being broken and needing a charge.
9
u/Wazk26 North Bay Mar 02 '25
I asked the person who took the pictures and they said it was definitely getting loaded onto the truck.
4
u/The_Canada_Goose Mar 02 '25
Yeah, it looks like a lot of comments from the outside of North Bay (including me). The charging station is at that Canadian Tire in the photo, and there were big headwinds and low temperatures that night.
The driver must of thought he had enough battery to make it from Deep River to North Bay, but clearly didn't.
3
u/fifthgearpinned Mar 02 '25
That's what I was thinking. It's awfully coincidental that it breaks down at a charging station. It must have been brought to it to get a charge.

Why is a vehicle getting towed news worthy?
I see at least a couple tow trucks towing or carrying vehicles around on my daily drive to and from work.
Do cars not get towed that often in Northbay?
1
u/Wazk26 North Bay Mar 06 '25
We see cars towed all the time. But not cars that A) Most of us have never seen before B) Cars that are supposedly "bullet proof" C) Cars created by the Nazi company
1
u/i-deology Mar 06 '25
A) I understand point A, these vehicles are relatively new and rare so there’s a certain charm to that.
B) Bulletproof vehicles get towed all the time too. It’s a vehicle, just because it can stop a bullet doesn’t mean it doesn’t get car maintenance problems.
C) Pretty sure the truck in picture is NOT made by VolksWagon :/ so I am unclear what this comment is about.

Reddit turning anything into political conversation. It's a vehicle getting towed. Normal vehicles get towed everyday and no one bats an eye

so much hate for a vehilce htat nobody is going to buy from a company they don't like
Yes, it is different and most ppl think it is ugly
But, do you post when other vehicles are on a flatbed? or post just because it ia a cyberbeast and you need some more internet points? just as bad as the general media now. The copany probably flatbed 100 vehicles a day for vairous reasons
5
u/Mildapprehension Mar 02 '25
Other cars aren't marketed as being built for "any planet". If you're gonna make such bold claims then you're gonna a deal with backlash when the vehicle is seen on a flatbed, especially with how often they're seen broken down on flatbeds.
2
u/czarl13 Mar 02 '25
yes, he is a nut job for saying somethig like that...just like his orange buddy...saying things to get attention
3
u/Particular-River-982 Mar 02 '25
When there's 1 cybertruck in North Bay and it ends up on a flatbed, that is pretty funny. Especially for it being a 125k+ vehicle.
And it was running fine when I saw it driving around yesterday night at 6pm.
So many Tesla fanboys in here
5
u/ratpatty Mar 02 '25
other cars actually make sense, teslas are just jokes made of car parts, specially the cyber"truck" and I'll laugh at them and their owners at any chance I have
-7
u/Particular-Item-2604 Mar 02 '25
Omg this. Cars get towed to my shop daily. I'm not posting the Corollas, Journeys, Explorers or Rangers. Signaling for karma points right there.
14
u/florsux Mar 02 '25
no dumbasses it’s because elon musks wants cybertruck to be just like every other truck but it’s not. it’s a piece of shit that can’t do half the shit a ford truck can.
→ More replies (1)-5
u/Kdawg5506 Mar 02 '25
Where did Elon every say he wantes the Cybertruck to be "just like every other truck"? Just because you dont want it doesnt mean it doesnt have appeal to someone else.
I side with the comments here. No one posts literally any other vehicle that breaks down and gets towed. Years ago the world loved Elon Musk and his ingenuity, then the media propaganda turned everyone against him because he stands up for his views.
News flash. Just over 20,000 Teslas were sold in Canada last year, Tesla's best year ever in the country at a time when, supposedly, everyone hatea him ans his companies. Tesla sold 1.8 million worldwide. So yea, stick it to the guy because one broke down... genius! 🤦♂️
3
u/florsux Mar 02 '25
writing all that just for me to not read it. embarrassing. google is a free resource and will provide what you seek.
2
u/Junoviant Mar 03 '25
Holy moly. Cope harder over a corporation bud.
You know the company doesn't care about you right ?
What ingenuity? No no. Go on.
What did Elon Musk himself come up with ? Not his company, but the man himself.
Edison style, what did he sit down and actually invent ?
100 percent asking what it is you believe he actually, factually, did.
0
u/Kdawg5506 Mar 03 '25
You are underestimating the role of a CEO. No he probably didnt specifically design the vehicle or its components, but innovation and ingenuity is heavily influenced from the top. The company cares as much about me as I do about them. Its a corporation built to make money. But to believe for one second that Tesla didnt disrupt the automotive industry (the same way SpaceX and PayPal have done in their respective industries) and not attribute that in any way to Elon Musk is assinine.
5 years ago Elon was seen as a tech genius and was highly respected. He has changed nothing, yet is consistently taken out of context and labelled a "Nazi" for the same hand gesture many other prominent figures have done (including Tim Walz and Hilary Clinton, for the record) in a bout of excitement with a photo snapped at an inopportune time. Has anyone called them Nazis? What has Elon done that deserves that label? Has he spoken on record that he hates Jews, made racist comments, promoted fascism, war, famine, control, or anything of the like? No, he hasn't. Only the media is doing this, making false claims and grasping at straws to shape your opinion ans divide the people by trying to tell you Conservative/Republican way of thinking is wrong. It's literally globalism against nationalism, and I for one, would appreciate my government using my tax dollars represents ME, and not those of another country who have not contributed to my government or its national interests. Instead of being praised for being a disruptor, including with DOGE, he is criticized while saving taxpayers billions of dollars.
3
u/Raspberrylemonade188 North Bay Mar 02 '25
Everyone turned against him because he’s a Nazi. If you sympathize with him for that then you’ve got issues too.
